Hoidolasium he/him Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Hoid does seem to be more in control of his personas and lies, maybe because he gets enjoyment out of tricking people, for the most part. If Shallan is anything to judge by, just by Hoid taking the same name in all his disguises seems like a big step up from Shallan's struggle with her Oaths. I'm really just waiting for a Hoid pov where we see his inner thoughts.

That's going to be awesome on so many levels. Speaking of the Epilogues (and maybe this is a tangent), I think it's interesting that each if the Epilogues so far have been about more universal truth; what men value most, art and contrast, and perception of reality. They seem more like Truthwatcher questions than Lightweaver questions, so maybe the epilogues going forward end up being more personal for his Truths

Brandon's established a theme, so he can't very well deviate in the middle of his pentalogy. 1
