Endowment becoming evil

Would be a great twist, though when/where/why, not sure. Surely if Nightblood is of her power, she should be Connected to the remnant of Ruin therein, to some degree? Or would the flow not work?

Maybe Endowment is Trell and is attacking Scadrial due to being warped during/because of the creation of Nightblood, during which she herself mediated the absorption of Ruin's Investiture, imprinting something of that Investiture on her? EDIT: And it's Scadrial that's under attack (and not just *some* world) because that's where Ruin was focused.

My understanding is that Endowment's breath investiture was converted to Ruin's by Shashara's intent during the awakening procedure.  While everything is connected to everything else mere connection to something does not always affect you in the way your thinking of.  Also if that was how this worked then wouldn't Odium by corrupted by Honor and Cultivation due to the several times he has connected with their magic systems?

He is bound to Roshar, at least.

I thought he was bound to the Roshar star system? Idk actually...

Well he is a shard so he is omnipresent in certain ways but Honor and Cultivation sealed him on Braize.  It is the Heralds that are bound to the Rosharan system.

Also wouldn't that make Honor and Cultivation corrupted by Odium? It would have to go both ways...or rather three ways.

This is why I don't think this theory works.

Trell is not Endowment:

Is the metal that Bleeder was associated with and had, is the Shard associated with that metal the same entity that's calling itself Trell?

Brandon Sanderson

Yes.

The spike at the end of Shadows of Self, does that have anything to do with Endowment.

Brandon Sanderson

That is not from Endowment, I can go ahead and let you know that.

Also, Endowment's letter to Hoid seems to imply that she is very commited to the pact of Shards not contacting each other, going as far as implying that the vessels Odium killed deserved what they got. This theory would require a drastic change of heart in that regard.
