Failen followed them, pausing and looking at Chen. "I have a chance with my magic, but I'd really rather my friends not be hurt... will you please come with us?" He held out his hand, a bit awkwardly. He'd never had a friend that he could do something like this for. he felt a bit confused and a bit hopeful. He wasn't sure what exactly to do in this situation.

Cheh reached out and grabbed Failen’ hand immediately, clung to it.

“I, I have no idea what’s going on,” he said honestly, scared at everything happening. “It just happened so fast, too fast.”

Jessy paused, listened to the conversation. Failen's words hinted at something else, and she finally admitted that she had no idea what to do. Silently she observed Cheh and Failen without knowing if she should do something as well.

Failen smiled. "Thank you... come on. Let's get on that weird ship. I can always make a portal to the fairy kingdom if we need to escape the ship again. It'll be far easier than getting here... I'm pretty sure we don't have anything to be afraid of." He smiled, looking around at the others. He paused, noticing Jessy looking at him. "I mean... once option is certain death, the other is only possibly dangerous. I'd take the chance at life any day." He smiled, then gently pulled on Cheh's hand, heading for the ship.

John boarded the RV, sitting down in the drivers seat with Alyssa in the passenger. He turned on the engine, and brought up the Gáthen controls. There were much easier than the steering wheel and pedal system humans used, with a different bar for each thruster as well as other options.

"Everyone ready?" he called out.

I know exactly what you mean... I had two of them.

Jessy boarded the ship and took a place, prepared for takeoff. She didn't understand anything that was written there, but some things were nearly the same everything. "I'm ready."

Oh right, Spaceballs. Haven't watched that one in a while.

Ryan climbed up the, thing. It looked similar to some orbal cars he had seen, but those didn't fly. He supposed the design looked like some ships too. Kinda. But what were the wheels for?

No point in trying to make sense out of anything here he decided, and took a seat. "Ready."

John made sure he had everyone, then started the boosters, slowly bringing them to orbit as waves of light began to cover the planet below. He made his way directly towards the Coffin, before turning on the autopilot and heading to the back.

"Failen, you asked me something back in the building about if we were carbon based or not, like you." He slowly turned his eyes to all of them. "Have you heard of the Perpetual Universe theory? Or anything that sounds like that?"

"Please explain." Jessy replied, her eyes on the screens showing the area outisde of the ship.

Failen shook his head. "No, I was raised by my parents into a world of magic and fairies and demons. I never had time for in-depth science lessons- but I can guess by the name... I think? How does it apply to you?" He looked at John curiously.

"It's the idea that The Universe has only a certain time to live, and when it dies, another Universe is created to take its place. This has been all but confirmed from the Magics." He hesitated, then continued. "Another part of that theory is that if you were to fly a spacecraft into the last point of the Universe as it was dying, you would appear in the new one." He looked at Failen. "Certain records from what we conceive as the dawn of our species say that we came in a ship of light, that our planet wasn't ours at all. That we had to use magic to live at all. Those records were dated to a mere 90 standard orbits after the beginning, when there shouldn't of been planets or life at all. There have also been tests done on ourselves, that show that our base element is something that defies that laws of science, and that doesn't exist in one dimension, but all of them and none of them at once."

Posted

Failen listened politely, considering that. "So the Universe died, your people managed to get into the next one before they died as well,  and the stuff you're made odd doesn't exist anymore, but it also kind of does because you exist?

"That's what we think, anyway."

"We're about to pass the Coffin; where are we going?" Alyssa called out from the front.

"Take us to the viewing platform," John called back.

There was a slight thump, and the Winnebago stopped moving.

"We're here."

Ryan got up and looked out a window. "And, where did you say was 'here' exactly?"

Jessy nodded, stood next to him to lend support to his question.

"It would be better if I showed you." John left the RV, and walked onto a glass platform. Beneath him lay a giant, light blue humanoid body in the shape of a women.

"Welcome," he said, his voice quiet and reverent, "to the Coffin of Light Magic."

Failen blinked, nervously standing up and stepping out into the place, following John and looking down at the woman. "Who... she's light magic...?" He didn't know what to feel if that were true.

Posted

He shuddered, feeling an ache in his chest at the words. They felt... almost true. But not quite. "She isn't fully dead... is she?" He felt confused, wanting to try and heal her. He head no idea how he'd manage it, though...

Posted

"She's more asleep, but we can't wake her." He leaned against a guard rail as memories that were his, and yet not his entered his mind.

A battlefield. Gáthen and Tierath fighting. Ligh and Dark Magics fighting. A general. A bearded John. Chanting. The scream of Light Magic.

The screams of Gáthen, as they died for the first time in history.

So, is this woman the place where they landed, like she's floating in space? Or they're in a planet where the coffin is located? Don't take this the bad way but I really think you should be more descriptive at times. We're not familiarized with the world so the only choice is to wait for you to describe things a bit more or make them up ourselves, and the latter would likely mean more confusion

Sure. I've kept this in my head so long, I don't know how to express it to other people all that well.

The guard stiffened as a ship approached the Coffin. He relaxed as it gave the proper ID number, and returned to gazing at the beautiful planet below him as it was covered with waves of light. He wished to be down there, but he knew his task. Although other species would see it as a huge chunk of space debris, the huge iron coffin shaped structure that sat in Orbit would be recognized immediately by a Tierath.

Oh yeah. Sorry about that, these days I've been unfocused with RPs.

Ryan looked at the land below them, it was covered in light. Moving light. He had seen something similar in a book once but an entire world covered by it? It was breathtaking.

Then he saw something else, this time in front of them. It was like a gigantic metal, something. They stopped there. Inside there was, a person? A giant blue person. What in Eidos' name?

"What...? Who is that?" he asked.
