Star felt a little dizzy, but she could stand, at least with a hand on the table. "Opposition? Pheonix isn't even here. What are you talking about?"

"An infusion of Narration, first of all, so he doesn't dissipate as soon as he appears." Tom nodded absently. "Right, right, that first. After that... probably something to get it started, a sort of 'reality scissors' to disconnect him." "But we're not trying to cut him off from the rest of the universe- that's the whole point." "Around the whole group, I mean- no, wait, that wouldn't work. Hmm." "I think we should build a bridge, first of all. One that will work for things without thread opposition. Then we just pop him through." "A bridge like that could take months to build- do we have that kind of time? You have to keep enough Narrativium to anchor Pheonix, remember."
