Halyo_Alex he/him
This is kind of just a weird thought that went through my head, but what would such an alloy have as its properties? We know Aluminum is the "anti-Investiture" metal, and Silver seems to have some special power against Shades (and is apparently significant to the cosmere in general), so... What would happen? Silver isn't allomantically functional, so i'm not asking about that (RIP Silvereyes) but i mean in terms of, say, having a knife made of this alloy and using it on Shades, or sprinkling it on Withered injuries. Would the Aluminum content prevent the silver from corroding in that case? For that matter, would Aluminum be better at shade-related stuff than Silver itself?

Thanks though, that is interesting to see that even Aluminum does have a use Allomantically...
Fezzik
Here is another one from the SoS tour. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/69-shadows-of-self-release-party/#e6494 RAFO on whether burning aluminum would remove being lashed, my opinion is it can.
Scion of the Mists
Alloys are considered completely different metals. Many of the 16 Metallic Arts metals are alloys of others. For example, brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, both of which have different Allomantic properties. An aluminum alloy would be treated as a different metal. Same with a silver alloy. Caveat: alloys with only minor additions may work similarly to the base metal. Edited June 4, 2019 by Scion of the Mists

Yes, if you only alloy in a little bit of other stuff, it may still retain some of the properties. However, the original question was clearly not asking about a sprinkling of other metals - they wanted to know whether silver combined with aluminum would retain both properties.
