No, that wasn’t me, Wraith said. That was a character. Another of mine, I believe, though they’re not... complete. As far as Salad goes, all I know so far is that they’re an assassin, hired by some group to kill Ene.

Salad might be grateful for some company. But since there was no alternative, I chose to speak with you directly... maybe? I don’t think I was fully conscious until you arrived.

I did not expect to hear the voice of an Author when I spoke, said Cerise. I thought I spoke to the one who guided Salad. Since that is not the case... who were they? A Narrator, perhaps? I would have though Salad was the Narrator, but perhaps not...

They were... one of the people Salad works for. An organisation with mysterious goals. Salad is the Narrator, but under their control. Not literal control... blackmail, perhaps? The power of a Narrator is one they would wield. But in order to control Salad... there is likely another Narrator within their ranks.

Well, now I feel bad. I’ve always been against plot but I got caught up in one and the randomness has stopped. I shall make amends.

Nameless started a charity fund for waffles and pancakes, who were always in danger of being eaten.

Salad was immediately drawn back out of sort-of-but-not-really inactivity at the reawakening of this thread. They asked Nameless if they could help run the charity, as a member of foodkind themselves.

Nameless of course agreed to let Salad help. So far, the charity had collected a bag of emerald broams, three hundred boxings, a soulcaster, and...
