A short-haired man stepped off the train. He checked his ticket, and the sky. Close enough.

Magnus smiled. The train departed, travelling somewhere that was not, leaving no mark of its existence.

"I'll come to the meeting," she said uneasily, "but I might not agree to this Unification thing."
