What do you think about the ending of the books? What do you think about David being an Epic? I was disappointed when Regalia couldn't make David an Epic in Firefight.

I thought it was great! I mean, if David had turned in Firefight, when calamity was still up, he'd be evil, right?

It's a toss-up for me between David (who as the "hero" and POV character is cheating a bit, Im supposed to like him) and Prof because Im a sucker for tragic sacrifice.

Also, because Prof is the best.

[Borio Singaldi he/him]

Cody was the best. Too bad we never got his full true backstory, though, the blasted Southern American Scotsman. But he was awesome and memorable.

We also don't know Abraham's full true backstory, either... but he's still awesome. But not as much as Cody, who is the best.

It's a toss-up between Prof, Mizzy, and Cody. They're my favorites.

As for the ending of the books, I loved the ending of Steelheart and Firefight, but wasn't crazy about the epilogue of Calamity. I feel like the end threw in a lot of details and plotlines that didn't fully resolve. It's still my favorite series though!

Edit: Also I'm really happy to see Mizzy is the 2nd favorite Reckoner!

I think that Regalia did succeed in turning David into an Epic in firefight but he was just facing his weakness the whole time.

Mizzy is an explosives expert whose presence is absolutely delightful. She’s funny, she’s caring, she marches to the beat of her own drum and her exuberance was one of the best parts of Firefight.

I don’t think it’s Mizzy’s feelings people are worried about, but rather those of real people who happen to like her and aren’t fond of the implication that they like a “not very cool, stupid and dumb” character.
