Seon Shardblades

So we have this WoB:
Sir Jerric
Could a Seon or a Skaze turn into some sort of Shardblade on their home planet?

Brandon Sanderson
That is theoretically possible.  They work under the same fundamentals but they would need to have something to pull them more into the physical realm.

I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on how one could conceivably pull a seon\skaze further into the physical realm to get them to be a shardblade?

There is a possibility that with the restoration of Elantris, the proper Aon sequence may be able to pull them more fully into the Physical Realm. However, this would probably region lock shardblades to Arelon, or possibly even the area immediately around the city if Elantris.

If the Elantrians can somehow pull the seons more fully into the physical realm like spren and create shardblades, maybe it could also end the geographical limitations to their magic. It might not allow them full range of ability, but perhaps something akin to surges but with aons.

I get the feeling that Seons may be one of the main ways to get Selish investure offworld. They are not bound to the land, as evidenced by the Wyrn having a Seon and a Skaze talking to Hoid after he left the Shardpool. I believe that it is likely that the Shardblade form of a Seon/Skaze would act similar to an Honorblade and give the user access to Selish magic off world by channeling the Dor.

I thought the skaze was talking while Hoid was getting ready to leave, still on Sel.

Yes, but it is not tied to the land, it is not a location based magic manifestation like the rest of the Selish magics.

That is an assumption. Honor's (splintered) power resides in the SR, where location doesn't matter. The Seon's essence is the Dor, which is very localized. You might be able to take a Seon off world, but it doesn't mean the Seon could draw forth extra Dor for your Aons off world.

Even if the Seons/Skaze aren't bound to the land in a regional sense, they'd still run into the same difficulties getting offworld that a spren would.  (There are, of course, ways to get around those difficulties, but it would take some doing)

I think that Seons being the key to offworld Selish magic is a really cool idea.  In the books we haven't seen the Seons directly interfacing with Elantrian magic; however, there was originally a mechanic where the Seons could sacrifice themselves to perform a one-shot effect based on their Aon.
