Galvris is over 1250 points.  It's not a contest though, and he'd always try and make the playing field even.  He does have some pretty serious weaknesses though.  Any fairly skilled emotional allomancer could hijack him easily.

"So, Galvris. What is your plan?"

Lena asked him.

"Alask is right. None of us is able to evacuate these people by talking to them. I saw some official looking people around the area here earlier, offering a way out for those that wanted. Those that are left, are those that wanted to stay."

She was about to add something else, when suddenly the air close to the doof split open. Sick violett light spilled all over the ground and betwee for a moment there was a strip of darkness, a darkness so solid and endless that Lena felt her skin crawl. Slowly she stood up, reached for her bag and saw a claw shove itself out into their plane, behind the claw she could see the outline of a larger body.

Everyone was still talking, but Warden still didn't know what was going on. Suddenly a portal opened up  next to Lena, Warden shouted something and stood up. When she stood up her head spun, and she immediately fell over, she tried to stand up but she kept falling down. So she decided to just take a nap.

Ah,  Well, in that case he might be able to take Galvris.

Galvris nodded to what Lena was saying.  He was about to respond, when a portal opened.  It looked a little bit like a gateway, but made of violet light and darkness.

He saw a claw reach out.  He reacted instantly, his mind in the void was free of distraction.

He stood quickly... then leaned against the wall and watched.  It would be interesting to see how this would go.  Galvris rarely feared for his own safety anymore.  The only thing that could set him on edge was an allomancer.  And he rarely interfered with anything major, preferring to watch things play out.  The promise of danger only sweetened the viewing.

So he just watched as the claw slowly groped it's way out of the portal.  He did seat himself firmly in the void, and turned himself incorporeal.  He dimly felt interest flickering across the outside of the void.

Lena touched Alask's arm and gestured towards the rift.

"Tell me you've got a good idea. Otherwise I'm in favor to run before it's completely here."

She knelt down next to Warder and looked through her bag, searched for a fitting antidote. The woman was sleeping, probably more lightweight than Lena had guessed. Good to know. Carefully counting some drops into a glass full with water she lifted Warder's head on her knees, slapped her on the cheek and put the glass to her lips.

"Drink."

Alask saw some sort of creature appear out of a portal, a claw screeching out. He paled and shook his head when Lena asked him to tell her if he had a good idea.

“I’ve got nothing. Maybe silver?” He said and weakly through a silver bead at the claw. There wasn’t many silver beads left after the conflict between Shez and Edahs.

Galvris twiddled his thumbs.  The thing sure was taking a long time, and he was dying of curiosity.  Finally, impatient, he wrapped a flow of air around the claw and dragged it the rest of the way through.

Eve opened her eyes to see a thing entering the room. Without even taking the time to fully register where she was, she pulled a throwing star out of her boot and threw it at the creature. At the moment, she was across the room, but there was no way to tell how quickly it could move.

First instinct of defence satisfied, she let herself look around. There were four others there. Alask Ao and a woman she recognized from the PlasmaCore building, along with two others.

PlasmaCore. The Haunt. The fog. And now this thing.

Storms.

She took a moment to stand up, ignoring the ache in her legs. Another throwing star ready in hand, she turned to the others.

"Do you know if there are more of these elsewhere?" Eve asked. Her eyes were glued on the creature.

Run. And leave the Forge for this monster. But Alask knew that in a choice between his life and the old, rusted Forge, the decision was obvious.

"You. Adoda or something." Alask moved away and kneeled beside Eve. "Why'd you come to the Forge? And right before this thing arrived. Do you know anything about it?"

Galvris sighed, leaning against the wall.  "Well, I can be perssuaded to help.  I could probably destroy it, even if I obey the laws of Justice."  He gathered a small ball of energy in his hand, utilizing his epic power.

He then threw it dead on at one of the monster's hands.  It melted into slag, falling off.  The creature screamed, a horrible wailing sound, clutching at it's burnt stump.

Warden woke to a slap, but for some reason it didn't really hurt. Warden still felt dizzy and tired and didn't really know where she was or what was going on. Lena was in front of her telling her to drink something, to tired to complain she drank it and after a few minutes she felt remarkably better. She slowly stood up, and only felt slightly dizzy. She looked around and saw the monster thing again, she pulled out her handgun and quickly emptied the magazine into the creature. The shots echoed loudly in the small room, but Warden was able to ignore the noise. Warden created a disk right in front the monster to keep it from moving any closer, "does anyone know what that thing is?"

"No. A monster."

Outside they could hear screaming, people running around.

"And I fear it's not the only one."

The monster slowly turned towards Warden, screamed a loud, feral scream. It clawed at the disk, but wasn't able to come closer.

"We need a solution. Fast."

Can I get added to this PM as well to read it for fun?

She looked at Alask. "It's Lin actually. Or Eve. Either works," she said, turning back to the creature being held back by air. "I came here because farther into the city it's even worse. There's a mist and a man, well not quite a man, a spren of sorts called the Haunt that's killing civilians. And I..." she cut off. "Anyways, if this is happening here, it's probably happening there too even worse. Earlier someone talked to be about PlasmaCore being trouble and it's very likely this is a product of theirs."

@I think I am here.

Her eyes moved to the man who'd burnt away the creature's hand.

Epic.

She tried to wipe the grimace from her face. "You," she said. "Destroy it." A short sixteen year old girl telling someone to do something typically wouldn't be a menacing sight, but most girls weren't Eve. Most girls weren't glaring at you with cold dark eyes containing a sole ring of ice in a way that made most people feel like dirt.

@Vargo Seldon

---

Outside a patch of earth wiggled, then lifted up. From beneath a man climbed out of the hole. "Come on down!" he shouted amongst the chaos. "We've got protection down here, along with food, water, and shelter!" He didn't mention he was from TUBA as people came towards him. He was aware of the anti-guild sentiment many held, for good reason. Hopefully this act of TUBA would help weaken it. Last time they'd left the civilians as a less important priority. They weren't going to make that mistake again.

Sure, I'll add you.

Galvris looked at her incredulously, until he saw her eyes.  This girl was far older than her years.

Still, he was an extremely powerful channeler, as well as a moderately powerful epic, and a swordmaster, and an expert in most forms of combat.  He wasn't about to be intimidated by a sixteen year-old girl, no matter how mature.

But still... those eyes.

He shrugged, saying, "I've let my blade skills slip.  No practice like the real thing."

He drew his sword, and charged.  The heronmark blade was of the finest make, made of several types of steel mixed to the most effective blend of strength, hardness, and flex.  He'd channeled the metal out of the ground, and mixed it himself.  The creature swiped at him, and he ducked, slicing the hand off.  The blademaster forms suppported any type of combat, whether unorthodox against an opponent like this, or in a formal duel.  Armless and enraged, the thing tried to bite him.  He he did a lithe handspring backwards, dodgeing.  Executing an excellent roundhouse kick, he nailed it in between the eyes.

It screamed, grabbing his foot with it's arm stumps.  It spun him around, slamming him into the wall.  He stood shakily, only just dodging the charging creature.  It slammed into the wall, and Galvris brought his blade down on it's neck.  It screamed, the blade only cutting halfway through.  He wrenched it out, and began to hack it.  Who knew where it's weak spots were?  Who knew where it's heart was?  With this in mind, he used his blade as a club, bringing it down again and again.

By the time he was done, it was a pile of flesh. And blood.  He spit on it, wiping his brow.  It had been a hard fight, but within the bounds of justice.

Completely missed this, sry...

Lena looked at the pile of blood, listened to the voices outside. So powerful, but obviously no intent to clean up the floor.

She used a piece of paper to touch the blood. Nothing. She'd figured a cool hissing sound, maybe some acid, but it was nothing but blood. Outside she heard screaming, the evacuation still going on. Evacuation. Did they try to evacuate everybody, did they go everywhere? Worry creased her brow and she hated herself for it. She had no way to know, no possibility to check, not without them knowing. Or she left. Except for going there, or ripping PlasmaCore to pieces.

"Is there a plan?"

She asked mostly Alask, but left it open for everybody to reply and busied herself with checking on the dinner. Cold, but she should be able to heat it again.

"Thank you," she said Galvris. There was less of a hard edge this time. Eve wasn't going to trust the Investitured man for a while, but then again, she wasn't quick to trust most people with Investiture.

She looked to the woman asking if there was a plan. "I've got nothing. So unless anyone else does, we're just proving that it's fine to..." Eve trailed off, finishing the sentence in her head, rather than aloud. We're just proving that it's fine to mess with powers you shouldn't and that no one will stop you.

Wait. From outside she heard a voice shouting. "This way! Into the tunnels!"

TUBA was evacuating people. Into their tunnels. Her former home for a short while. That was...a surprise. They hadn't opened them for the Seven Day War. Why this time?

Maybe because they learned something from that too. Take charge of evacuation quickly and do it well. she thought.

But, it appeared from the screams outside, the enemy had also improved.

She fingered a throwing star.

Posted

Alask heard some people call for them to get into the tunnels and Alask looked at the pile of flesh and blood in the Forge. That was going to take a while to clean out. And Alask was probably never going to get to it, to get to this Forge again. Just another invasion had come, of monsters, and it had taken away the one goal he’d had. He grit his teeth.

Those bloody guilds.

He looked outside. One of the guilds that opposed the Dark Alley were herding people into a cave. What would the homeless eat? Would they sleep in those caverns? But it was the only evacuation that was happening.

“We should follow them, into the tunnels,” Alask said with venom in his voice.

”Even if the guilds keep messing up our storming city, the only safety is with them.”

It was something he hated about the Alleyverse. The guilds were the ones who caused all the problems and yet the only reason they remained was because they ‘fixed’ it afterwards. Like building around a rusting crater counted as fixing. Because no matter how hard they tried, they would never be able to ‘fix’ all the families ruined because of their wars, all the children orphaned, all the enemies made.

He wanted to flee. Lena looked at Alask for a moment, wondered if he would come along, if she asked him to, and then lowered her eyes. She wouldn’t ask him, because then he would feel like he had to follow her. And despite everything, if he wanted to flee, it was his decision. And Lena valued only a few things more, than respecting ones decisions.

“I can’t come along. If you use the tunnels, if you flee, I mean.”

She stated and grabbed her bag. Her fingers tapped her wallet, hoped Alask would understand, that she had to check on her son, had to make sure that he was safe. Grabbing a taco she quickly filled it. No use to weaken her body by not eating enough. Walking over to the door she turned around again, looked at the four faces there, wondered if she should say something, wish them luck. It was polite, wasn’t it? The polite way. But then she had never been polite and she doubted she would see them again. So she simply looked at them for a moment, listened to the sounds outside. Some calling for people to head into the tunnels, others helping them into vehicles. The guilds were working together, at least it seemed like this. But as long as there was a chance, that they had missed him -

Lena started moving away and Alask looked at her questioningly, but when her fingers tapped her wallet, Alask understood. The image of the small boy was still fresh in his mind, he remembered when Lena had first shown him the photograph. Why? She had given him blackmail material for no reason, showed him a secret he knew was valuable to her. Just to comfort him, back in the days where Shez had ran rampant?

So, there was Lena gone. Slowly, the team was disbanding just as it had been put together. Lena, gone. Nekorb, lost. Galvris, well, Galvris had said he wasn’t intending to help the Forge anyway. “Good luck!” He called out to her and despite his overwhelming hate at the guilds, he wished that their efforts to save people were at least good enough that Lena or who she was looking for didn’t perish before meeting.

Posted

Galvris stayed silent, the animosity towards the guilds almost palpable.  And being a Ghostblood himself, he had no desire to stir the pot.  Lena began leaving, and the expression on Alask's face was one of pure desperation.  Galvris needed to go, to check on Ciera, to help with Plasmacore.  But the forge had been his home for a time as well.

He felt torn between two forces.  Alask needed him, but so did the rest of Alleycity.  Logically, one should put the people of the city first.  But it was hard to put a face the nameless citizens.

Galvris had always liked to remove himself from the issues.  With his power, it was always easy to be a bystander, to observe.  But the forge was a special place.  And what was there to observe if Alleycity was destroyed?

Finally he made a decision.  Regardless of his feelings, the city came first.  "Goodbye Alask," he said, creating a gateway, "I will return, but the city needs me."  The Ghostbloods need me, he thought, but Alask probably wouldn't understand that part.

With a last farewell, he stepped through.

In keeping with Sorana's example, I will keep the gateway open for a little while.
