Pewter Ahlstrom (Brandon's assistant or something)'s old username was Ookla the Mok or something

so between his birthday in November and the State of the Sanderson in December each year everyone changes their username to Ookla the *blank* (or lately Ookla of *blank*) and sometimes can't change it back for a while

Shard buddies are basically friends but better basically, it’s just someone you’ve connected with at the Shard. And Ooklas come from Ookla season, which is a time between someone of importance’s birthday and Brando’s birthday (feel free to fact check me).
