Yes. The fifth dimension would encounter many (infinite) of these. In fact, I believe the “parallel” comes from dimensions. Like, if you shift over in the fifth dimension just by a little bit, it should be similar, but not the same, like if you went down a length of rope.

My favorite theory is if something happened during the Big Bang that caused investiture to actually exists and sets the course for the Cosmere.

Since Earth doesn't exist in the Cosmere, either we are all dead, or spread out on other worlds.  Which one did you end up on?
