Not stupid at all, it's not the easiest to find.

You go to the sidebar, click on Account, click on Account Settings, and click on Signature.

I have now made a signature I am relatively happy with.

This reminds me of the time Calvin and Hobbes were playing hide and seek, but when Calvin was hiding, Hobbes went and read all of his precious comics...
