Hmmmm okay, I'm gonna give a kinda sorta long list of books (I also added short descriptions of the books, which will be in the parenthesis), but if you need more or different ones, feel free to ask. That goes for anyone too; if you need books, feel free to PM me and ask (I realized this likely won't happen, but I am willing all the same) Also this is all just off the top of my head, so be aware of that as well.

Romance

The Selcetion by Kiera Cass (Pretty much, the prince needs to get married, so he draws  random names from basically a lottery, and 24 girls get chosen to meet him and whatnot) This book is pretty good- not the best book ever, but still decent.

Matched by Allie Condie (Pretty much, your significant other is chosen for you but the government) Really  good book, has more of a dystopian kind of twist

P.S. I like you by Kasie West (So, the main character, a girl, starts writing notes with an anonymous pen-pal and finds that she's falling in love with this note-writer) Honestly, any Kasie West books are good; some of my favorite romance books.

Mystery

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.(Ten not-quite murderers get invited to a island party. Only, they have no way to get off, and people keep dying).  It is so good, though a little creepy tbh.

Lemon Tart by Josie S. Kilpack. (A more fun murder mystery told by Sadie Hoffimiller, who uses her book of recipes to help her out) This one is one of my favorite books right now. The twists at the end... glorious. Not quite Sanderlanche level, but close. (At least in my opinion)

Non-Fiction

Bomb by Steve Sheinkin (The making of the atomic bomb. Kinda boring at parts, but that's kinda how non-fiction books are)

Chasing Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson (All about Lincoln's assassination) My FAVORITE Non-Fiction book right now. So. Good.

Science Fiction

The Martian by Andy Weir (Guy gets stuck on Mars) I would recommend, if possible, that you get the school version, because it does swear a decent amount otherwise, but the story is great.

The Last Cuentista by Donna Barba Higuera (Girl becomes world's last storyteller after Earth is destroyed by Haley's Comet.

Thriller/Horror/Suspense

Personally, these are not my favorite books to read. However, any books by Clair M. Poulson are really good in my opinion, specifically Vengance

Fantasy

Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan (Boy becomes apprentice to a ranger.) A really good book series, high stakes with magic (sorta) thrown in.

I can't think of any more Fantasy books right now, but if you need more I can look at my list.

Realistic Fiction

Restart by Gordon Korman (kid falls off a roof and forgets everything)

Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper (Life from a girl with special needs)

I think that's all I'm gonna say for now- this is all off the top of my head as well, so just be aware of that. I have lots more books. Um, hope you enjoy! Also sorry it took so long. Homework sucks.

Oooh yeah I've read like half of these but you somehow named a few books I haven't read. Quite a feat. Flanagan *sigh* still waiting for book 1 *rage*

Thanks so much both of you

Yeah a lot of the books I named were pretty general and off the top of my head- if you want some more ones that people generally haven't heard of, I have a lot of those as well.

What did you originally quote me for?

Also Eragon is mid and a shameless Tolkien rip off.

High fantasy story with an interesting magic system.

I thought the system was cool, but I had some issues with the writing. It was mainly the difficult to remember  names and some of those places were not plot relevant.

Gonna say it again: wonderful magic system.
