"Alright," KoTiel nodded. "Basically, they sedated me, and then used this scythe like weapon. According to Mraize, it is supposed to implant a bomb capable of destroying my spiritweb when he wants to." They paused. "I did make sure my flesh didn't actually touch it, but I'm not sure if it actually worked. I'll have to do some research in the labs to find out, and perhaps also see how to replicate it." Another pause. "He actually wanted me to tell others about it, maybe to make people afraid of him?"

"OK, he said the same thing to me. He tried to put the bomb inside of me, but I got it away before he could.

I would suggest going to the labs quickly, we can probably fix your spirit web, but it wouldn't be good if he detonated the bomb."

KoTiel thought for a bit. "Even if we can't remove the bomb, I think I do have another solution," they said. "It's actually similar to something you once did, but meant for Kandra."

Posted

"Sort of," KoTiel replied. "The main thing in this case is that we Kandra can store memories in specific, secured parts of our body. My old mentor has done a lot of research in this field, and figured out a way for other Kandra to read the memories if they were prepared in the right way. If I use a blank slate, instead of an existing Kandra, this should allow for a complete transfer of consciousness without keeping the spiritweb."

Posted

"Ahhhh." Mac started pacing around the bubble. "Of course this would necessitate a complete preservation of the memories. The major flaw with my version of this was that I thought I could sidestep coppermind memory decay. I wasn't able to. Do you know if this has any similar issues?"

Posted

"I don't think it should," KoTiel replied. "The main crutch here is that the new Kandra needs to be a blank slate. If it isn't, the memories might start conflicts, or the body's personality might start conflicting with my own. But, as long as the body doesn't have any memories, these conflicts shouldn't appear." They thought for a bit, tapping their zinc. "Preservation of the memories might be an issue, but only while the memories aren't inside of a body. As soon as they are, the body will assimilate them, and the decay should halt, since at that point they'd just be normal memories."

Posted

"Hmmm. I wonder if we could create a new kandra and have that be the blank slate. Then I wonder if they could store identity during the transfer. That would help.

Though if you need it, I think we could procure a bloodbath to do the transfer in. The spikes wouldn't decay because they would be covered with blood."

Posted

"True, but transferring spikes won't be the issue," KoTiel said. "I actually don't want to transfer any, safe for perhaps my feruchemical zinc spike. Transferring spikes between kandra is always problematic. There's also the issue of part of the spiritweb being transferred through the spikes. I'd prefer to simply create a new set of blessings. The same goes for storing identity. The chance of part of the spiritweb transferring is too big."

The dueling island began glowing.

"WELCOME, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TO THE BATTLE OF THE CENTURY! A DUEL TO END THE WAR! WALKER VS...

HELLBENT!"

Hellbent walked onto the stadium, his warders cloak shifting. He pulled off his shardplate and handed it to KoTiel (@kenod).

"If I die, you can have it."

Then, eyes glowing, he pulled off his second set of armor, revealing clawed hands and feet. He threw the armor into the crowd.

Hellbent only had one weapon left. A 12-inch dagger. And his claws.

"NOW, IT IS TIME! WALKER (@Darth Woodrack), PLEASE ENTER THE STADIUM!"

~~~
"Silas (@JacobClaessen), can we please go? I want to watch this."
Sorry, can't I have a ton of other stuff to do, as the quarter is coming to an end.
EDIT: I may be able to do it if it does not require being involved all the time.
Ark, Hellbent needs to take of his luck bands as well
Walker stood on a podium, with a 12 inch dagger in his hand. It had a taser on the bottom that would shock hellbent. He was only wearing a black cloth shirt and black pants. He had traction boots on, but that was it. The boots had rubber flaps on the bottom, to keep him from sliding. He walked onto the arena and stood there. He would not lose. He would not cheat. He hadn't technically won his duel with Atticus, but he would win his duel with Hellbent. And if he didn't, Dusk would die.
I love how people think that I will win this one! It is so different from my last duel.:lol:
Dusk walked over to Mac again. He showed him the treaty, "I need you to sign this for the DA."
Those traction boots won't work well. It's slick metal, it won't grip in, and it will be slick metal on more slick metal.:P
"I have a few questions.
The first, is how do you intend to enforce this treaty?
Second, for the fifth clause, does this mean only military craft belonging to to you?
Or do all the undersigned guilds have to sell military craft?
Third, what defines a situation which requires the Fiend, as mentioned in clause three?
Is the requirement that the fiends intervention wont increase the number of deaths by more than 2 orders of magnitude?
I also have concerns that clauses 2 and 3 are contradictory. The fiend will be used as a mining device, then you specify the need to defend someone. That doesn't sound like mining to me."
Military craft that were created by me,
It's primary use will be as a mining craft, but if I, or Walker, are near it or in danger it won't use anything, but small arms in defence of us," Dusk said, "So, will you sign?"
Hellbent doesn't have luck bands on him, that under set of armor is chromium.
Now that both competitors were on the field, the announcer began to talk again.
"NOW THAT THE DUEL HAS BEGUN, PLEASE REMOVE ALL SHARP OBJECTS FROM YOUR PERSON THAT AREN'T YOUR CHOSEN WEAPONS!"
"IN ADDITION, AS WALKER IS THE CHALLENGER, HELLBENT WILL GO FIRST!"
"So essentially, the only parts that concern me is the part that says we can't seek revenge, and if we don't seek revenge for the purpose of the duel we will be informed of any sister craft of the fiend being built?
If that is the case, I would like a more specific restrictions on the fiend. Right now, I'm imagining a situation where if there is already an ongoing conflict, and the deaths are into the hundreds, then the fiend will be allowed to be brought in without any consequences unless someone can prove that it caused more than 9,900 deaths. Its already difficult to prove how many deaths would be directly or indirectly attributed to the fiend, what counts as a casualty, and a number of other things in the heat of the battle. Adding this to where minor conflicts involving the DA can result in millions of deaths, I think I need to see more restrictions on the fiend before I sign this, because right now there are too many loopholes."
