The Fiend fired its main cannon at the field.

Oh, wow, you’re done. We didn’t even have to use any other weapon.

1. Aon Edo draws more power from AonDor the more it’s hit. Unless you’re bomb is stronger than the combined power of Devotion and Doninion, nope.

2. We have dozens of Elantrians around the outside of the sheild, their Aons are all boosted by a constant stream of nicrobursting because of the drives and enhanced further with the Alleystorm.

3. Not to mention the feild itself is being nicrobursted, and enhanced by the Alleystorm. We tried to plan this thouroughly.

So when you’ve fired that bomb at the sheild, all you’ve done is the equivalent of locking yourself in a room and activating a grenade. When the bomb explodes, and if it is really as powerful as you say, then the sheild will still hold, and the explosion will be contained inside it, destroying the Fiend. So, thanks for doing our job for us :D

Small problem: The generator of the fiend eats investiture. It would just get the power back.

Quote

Ark, Hellbent wouldn't know about the bombs, so you are doing something that your character couldn't do.

Dusk will never fight Hellbent one on one. Walker might with no shard plate. Deal: Dusk, Walker, and the Semi Atuo Specialist. Warning: Chance of Zarren intervention if severe chance of cataclysmic loss.

We discussed this. You’re Faraday cage only eats Investiture. You’ve shot a bomb at yourself, and while the bomb may be powered by Investiture (as it says on the sheet) the actual fiery explosion/plasma shooting out isn’t.

Quoted from the sheet:

Quote

They use aons and investiture to Plasma converters to cause an explosion that varies by each type.

See how it says it uses Investiture to cause an explosion. The physical explosion isn’t actually Investiture. That’s like saying the flame that comes out an Aon Ehe is Investiture. Sure, the Aon is Investiture, but that doesn’t mean the fire is.

High powered plasma cannon. Shooting point blank. It would destroy the cannon, but it wouldn't break the Fiend.

Ark is mad at me for not saying this before. I am sorry, but this was part of the original design. The head of the Fiend is a drill. It can drill into the ground. I have mentioned this to Ark in real life.

Jonas floated in the Cognitive Realm, anger overwhelming his mind.

He had failed.

Jonas stepped towards the thing that did it, the Fiend.

Jonas never expected to be taken out by a foreign beast, a monster with no Metallic Arts.

A pause.

The thing had a gemheart.

Jonas had heard...

Creatures of thought, spren, they could live inside of gems.

By the information given to him by some of his spikes, perhaps he could...

Enter the gemheart?

Jonas floated along and tentatively entered the gemheart.

Yes, this could work.

It could work very well.

Zaren exited his bubble. Hellbent had disappeared on him.

What is making this guy tick? Why in Rust is he trying to kill Dusk?

He paused.

What if Dusk had done something to Hellbent first?

Zaren shot off of another coin, following the shouts of Hellbent and slammed onto the ground in front of him.

He flared chromium.

"How 'bout we end this, once and for all?"

"Uh, I'm good. I'm here to fight Dusk. He killed my son, and he needs to pay."

He teleported again.

Zaren should know about this. I don't keep everyone in the dark.

Walker showed up next to Dusk. "Hellbent killed Dusks's wife and infant child." He followed Hellbent. "I have a deal for you!"

Posted

"I won't do that. If you want to fight, find a fair terms. Preferably me versus Dusk."

Hellbent summoned his shardblade int he form of a dagger behind his back.

'I would have my katana's and a battery powered Devastator, Dusk would have his shockstaff and the same Devastator model, and the specialist would have a semi auto rifle and a devastator. The sentinel is a specialist in anti shape changer combat. He is better than the average elite and is very good at avoiding getting hit. He is very accurate and very fats. All available weapons, no weapons." Walker said.

Rick was alive, and there was a war. His senses told him that. He stood up, snakes slithering around him, and walked to the end the unnamed alley he had been alseep in. He raised his hands, the snakes coiling up around him, glowing. He smiled and teleported.

Rick fell out of the sky, right next to Hellbent. "Oh hello then, I assume you guys are having an important coversation. Carry on then." Rick leaned back, his snakes forming a chair for him to sit on.

A man in a cream suit stepped out of the alley and saw the fiend being contained by the bubble.

He also noticed that it had a drill on the front, and would probably burrow into the ground and cause damage to the surrounding area. That's not good. In fact, that was probably why he was sent here. What should he do though? On one hand, he hated losing potential test subjects. On the other hand, saving peoples lives, and possibly being a hero was an absolutely horrid prospect. Thankfully, he didn't have to make the choice. He had his orders. Using the one power, he amplified his voice, so that those inside of the fiend could hear it.

"I would like to inform you that the DA has taken notice of your presence in the city. I would also like to inform you that this is your chance to disembark from the vehicle and turn it over to us. If you do not comply with our request, we will be forced to destroy it forthwith. And believe me. We can destroy it."

Dusk took out his pocket intercom. "Hello Mac. Good to meet you. We have no intention of threatening the city. We only want to kill Hellbent. Leave us alone, and after the war the Fiend will be a force for good. We will not turn it over, but we will not do irreparable damage to the landscape. I promise. Just let us settle this war in a fight with Hellbent, and we will let it be over.

GASP HOW DID THEY SEE THROUGH MY DISGUISE! I need a better mustache. That was it. After recovering from the shock of being seen, he replied,

"So what you are telling me, is that you are trying to fight a war in this city? Last time we fought a war, a nuke went off. Furthermore, the amount of test subjects innocent people that have been impacted is already too much. I will repeat my request one last time. Vacate the machine, or be destroyed."

"What people? All we did was blow up a empty tower and escort all willing people into thermo nuke proof bunker. I am trying to minimize casualties. This will increase them. The fiend needs maintenance. It will break down and cause tremors." Dusk responded.

Rick nodded to himself. "I was told that there would be politics. I do enjoy a bit of politicking. You know?"

Back in town, Dwig was thinking. Thinking about what to do. That stupid mech was still there. Mechs were dumb, easily destroyed. Plus, with legs, one could just wrap a tow rope around... He laughed, "First wing, prep for ATAT assault on the Feind. Do the legs incrementally, please."

"I don't give a chull about their physical health. We can clone people whenever we need them. No, psychological stress is bad for the test subjects and can skew the results of the study. But anyway, we didn't come here to discuss science. I came to get you to get out of your machine, but y'all aren't listening. Oh well."

Mac turned around and took a few steps back.

Then he faced the machine, and warped the front half into the ocean, and the other half right above Dusk's main camp.

To be clear this was not done with investiture. This was done using alleymatics.

Alright, as far as I know the Fiend is still trapped in the forcefield. Also, keep in mind if the Elantrians saw a giant drill on its face they would probably make the forcefield a full sphere.

The Fiend wasn’t doing anything. It had shot a bomb that Max hoped had done some damage to itself. But it was trapped. And that was important.

“Prepare the Aon Daa!” Max shouted to the Elantrians as they begun to work.

Suddenly it was gone.

Edit: Wow ok looks like the Fiend isn’t a problem anymore. Nice job Mac.
