Kelsier's soul is stapled to his new body via the spike in one eye, but we don't know the details of how that was accomplished.

He does have the scars, we don't know if he looks the same otherwise.

I don't know how he got his body, if he "possessed" a living person, animated a corpse, created a body out of the ether, or something else.

We know he has his scars, which like Kaladin's slave brands, are part of how he sees himself.  To me, this means that whatever method he used, his sense of self is rewriting the physical aspects of the body.  So yes, I do think he looks the same.

Well, the spike in the eye will make him look a little different.

OB spoilers below

Spoiler

Idk if he'll look the same generally, the Fused have the structure of the body they are possessing, though their skin patterns are the same between bodies. Seems like some things change more readily then others.

Of course, this is assuming he is possessing an existing body but he probably is. Creating a body out of the ether seems hard.

What if Kelsier had Spook and Ten Soon use hemalurgy to connect Kelsiers cognitive shadow to a mistwraith making Kelsier a kandra and forming himself a truebody or using his old bones which Ten soon had buried/hidden before the Final Ascension

In Bands of Mourning, we learned that the Sovereign, who they confused as being the Lord Ruler, came after the Catacendre. [He] was their god, was their king and god. And then Kelsier looking for a string. Is the spike somehow connecting Kelsier's soul to Spook's body.

Brandon Sanderson

No, good question. It is connecting his soul with his body, his current body, but it is not Spook's body. That's a great theory.

To counter oversleep in the end of bands of mourning wax picks up a copper mind and sees people freezing through the eyes of someone that has half normal vision and half steel vision via a spike through only one eye and there are scares on the onlookers hands and arms he also tells the people one word "survive"

That was never the question. The question was how. And @CrazyRioter already posted the counter.

"it is connecting his soul with his body"

As far as the how actually is concerned. Here's my theory.
