"Mmm. That wind smells quite splendid," Bloodbath said, as he grew another pair of arms, along with more Shardclaws.

Stormlight rushes into Soul, more then he had ever had before. Power filled him along with his new purpose.

”Alright El, let’s do what we are best at, and kill things.” Soul darted through the sky faster than an eye blink towards the giant Phoenix that was laying the Alleycity to waste. “You will pay for the deaths you have cause.”

Smaller monsters and black crusade marines died as Soul past, blades slicing through them almost as an afterthought.

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Marine flesh is delicious!" Bloodbath proclaimed as he devoured another space marine's head, holding a limb of that marine in each hand, using them to beat the marine's to death.

An astartes slammed into Kane from behind, knocking him right into the path of a swinging warhammer. Other space marines piled onto Kane, forcing him onto the ground.

"Stand down!" one of them yelled. "Resisting our grapple is pointless! We both have a +39 to Athletics checks, and advantage against targets smaller than us! Your chances of breaking out are less than 0.00298%!"

Wait, how on earth did you get to the Canton? You were on, like, the other side of the city!

Kane grimly grew a mass of of Amberite around himself. Using ChayShan in one arm and Shardplate strength in the other, he hefted a dozen space marines and Lashed the mass up. He flew up and blasted the roof open and watched as dozens of marines rose skyward. He turned and grabbed Mace. He shook him awake and gave him a bronze bracer.

"Tap wakefulness!"

Devaan read the note, a tear was running down his eye. Rashan was dead. dead. Devaan let out a sob, then saw one of the kids he was meant to take care of, had a black eye, and was sobbing.

"Who did this" He said, his voice dangerously low

"th-that man" Max said, pointing at Mace.

Devaan stalked over to Mace. Step by step. He could see violence all around him. A man was trying to kill his blood angels. Space marines were bringing down Kane.

Violence, in his canton. In the place he had established as a safe haven for all.

Devaan calmy walked into the room, and shut the steel door. Good. the room was soundproofed now.

Devaan walked to the centre of the room. Kane noticed him, and stared at him.

"I'm going to ask you all once, and once only." He said in a soft voice. A calm voice. The voice of someone who was so aggrieved he didn't care what would happen to these people.

"Stop. Now." He commanded, tapping connection so everyone noticed him.

Her enemy was gone, incinerated by her fire. It hadn't quelled her anger, her frustration at these tiny creatures that kept trying to attack her and her Kindred.

She still hadn't heard anything from any of her creators, but if they wanted her to stop they would have let her know by now.

Satisfied with her conclusions, the Phoenix rose into the sky once more, unleashing flames on those beneath her, crushing buildings where they hid. Her kindred rallied around her, following behind and cleaning up any who still lived after she swept through.

An small figure came flying towards her, it flew through the host that was following her, carving a path of bodies, and began yelling something at her again.

Words. Words. Words! Is that all these things do?

Her eyes blazed with renewed frustration. Didn't any of these creatures understand a fight? She might screech her fury but she didn't speak with those who faced her, she wouldn't dishonor them so. If one had the courage to stand up to her she would not try to shake that conviction. She would face this one head on, as with the enemy.

She halted her flight, holding herself in place with heavy wingbeats. Twisting to face the figure as it approached her.

With one particularly heavy beat of her wings, she sent a wall of superheated air towards it, igniting a wooden tower that lay between the two and charring the corpses that lay on the ground.

Kane nodded quietly and left the room. He continued, leaving the building all together. Outside, a storm was brewing.

The Alleystorm.

Kane approached it with careful Lashings, trying to not get to close. He observed the way it churned and thundered. It was one of the most dangerous natural disasters of all time... except it wasn't natural. He floated overhead, careful to watch his Stormlight. He hovered over the center of the storm. Suddenly, the Phoenix appeared, forcing Kane to the one place that he shouldn't, couldn't go.

Directly down.

The eye of the Storm was intensely hot and wildly windy. Kane was tossed in several directions, despite his CounterLashings. He was forced towards the ground, but he kept up by Lashing himself upwards with as much Stormlight as he could manage. The pure Investiture that surrounded him slammed against his body, trying to destroy him. He Compounded Determination.

He would not end here. He stabilized a bit, but was soon tossed back into the eye of the Storm.

"Kane! You can't end now!" Quin called, becoming distant despite literally being Kane's arm. He glanced upward and saw Arrow, the Aviar. With relief, he Lashed himself with almost all of the rest of his Stormlight, aside from a bit that he would use for a half-upwards Lashing. He flew out from the top and did the half upwards Lashing. He was now weightless. Arrow carried him away, his new master unconscious.

They landed a short distance away from the Canton, because that was when the Lashing wore off.

That was an incredibly stupid idea.

The blast of hot air would have stripped the flesh from Soul’s body if he wasn’t wearing shardplate. As it was, it still hurt.

“Looks like I won’t get that cookie dough I was promised.” He muttered. Flying up he lashed himself towards the left wing of the monstrosity and slashed at it, hoping to take the whole thing off.

No one else seemed to reply, everyone aside from Kane kept fighting.

He gave them a chance.

Devaan took off his shoe and felt the steelmind that was this room, the huge wealth of speed that was the walls, floor and ceiling.

He started supertapping, not even making a scratch in the amount of speed stored as he literally disappeared. Moving faster than can be tracked by the average eye.

He ran to Mace first, the man who had punched the successor to his friend. He took him out of the room. He'll deal with him later.

In an instant, he was in front of Bloodbath, staring at him. To another person it looked like Devaan just stared at Bloodbath, then he was flown across the room. But Devaan knew that he had punched bloodbath in the gut, sending him into the wall.

He turned on the space marines. The blood angels stood to attention. They knew what was coming.

He turned on the Astartes.

"You." He said, punching one in the stomach, the armour crumpling

"Dare" He said, kicking one in the kneecap. A snap could be heard in the leg.

"Come into my canton" One was knocked unconscious, his eyes went wide, clutching his neck.

"and start a fight" The final Astartes tried to run away, but he wasn't anywhere near fast enough to escape. Without trying, he ran up to the final one. everyone was covering their ears for some reason. Had he really broken the sound barrier in that one move? He slowed down a little, then decked the final Astartes, dropping him.

He turned towards his blood angles. They nodded, under his leadership, they knew none were exempt from punishment. Each one of them took it without any sign of weakness. Good soldiers, they were, he had trained them well.

Devaan stepped out of the room.

"Mace. You hit a kid. I don't care if Rashan forgave you for what you did to Voidus. but that? you hitting a kid? then starting a fight in a place I told people was a place people could be safe? that was appalling. if you do anything like that again in my canton, I'll tear you apart" Devaan walked up to Max and Mara.

"Here, tap this card, this will send you to my home, there are two others there that can take care of you, they are tough. I'll be there in a couple days." Devaan said, handing Mara the Tia card

"I'm going to need the blade, however." He told them

Max handed over sethramir, and Devaan stepped out of the canton, sitting on the stone walls. He thought of his friend, Rashan.

He grieved.

Titan noticed that Bloodbath had gone. Titan was bored. He stood there for a few minutes. He then created a dimensional warp to teleport to watch the fight with the fire-bird-with-spikes. He had accidentally teleported into the path of the alleystorm. He screamed, as the feeling was beautiful. But incredibly overwhelming. Every part of him burned, and he was reborn. All his investiture had become more powerful. And it had added something new. He had horns, and his body secreted acid. He was powerful. And he would continue the fight with bloodbath. He created another warp, grabbed Bloodbath, and left. The only sign he had been there was a warp to the alleycity in the Canton of Combat. He punched Bloodbath in the stomach.

Quote

@Mirv, the fight continues. @Nohadon, I either did something that will really annoy you, or gave you a present. You have a warp that can be used to teleport to and from the alleycity without using any investure. Either gift, or security breach.

Kane stumbled in. He walked over to Devaan.

He pulled out an item, a single object he had saved for a long time.

It was a fragment of a rock.

"This... belonged to Rashan. After Voidus's rock was killed, he recovered this piece. To remember."

Kane took a deep breath.

"And isn't that what you do? Remember? You are an Edgedancer, after all."

He placed the fragment in Devaan's hand.

"I lost Rohan today. He fought and died defending the city. Like Rashan."

Kane sighed longingly.

"This war... we all need to remember, for the sake of the Alleyverse. We need to remember it and the destruction it caused. And we need to never let it happen again."

Kane fiddled with his Copperminds.

"I know I won't forget."

Kane gestured to a Coppermind ring on Devaan's finger.

"And I know you won't either."

Kane pointed to Mace.

"He won't. Naermen won't."

Kane stared at a Crusader Corpse.

"And even those who don't use Copperminds will remember."

Kane lifted his head.

"Max. Mara. Solace. Silphio. Ethil. Deras. Ida. Tevarah. Yzabet. Elkanah. Drako. Voidus. Tena. Syen. Death. And many others."

Kane smiled.

"The trick is to think about it often."

Drako hesitantly stepped outside into the growing storm.

He was a space marine, created by the Emperor to protect mankind from the evils that lurked beyond the stars. He could bring an enemy advance to a grinding halt using a twig, some rope, and a well aimed bolter shot. His mind could calculate aerospace equations in seconds, leading a shuttle from ground to orbit. He could fortify a  miserable swamp into a bastion of strength within days of arrival.

He... he didn't have a solution to this problem. This... quiet pain was beyond his skills.

So he didn't do anything. He just sat quietly by DeVaan, and looked out over the broken city with his friend.

Going back to Frond for  a second

Frond awoke in a large stone basement. She climbed up the stairs, opened the doors, and looked outside. There was a blue and red demon fighting a black and gold thing that was glowing purple. She passed out again.

***

She awoke again and looked outside. The monsters were still there, but she managed to stay awake this time. She looked around again and saw a giant storm spinning, with a huge phoenix and weird man flying around. Her head hit the ground even faster then last time.

Devaan sat next to Kane and Drako. Two enemies. TUBA and the Black Crusade. sitting side by side.

"All Rashan wanted..." He whispered to Kane and Drako

"Was peace. He didn't want people to die. He didn't want the war to continue"

"I will honor his wishes. He might not be able to see it. but there will be peace. A peace where everyone has a voice, that can be used to resolve conflicts without violence"

"I will listen to those who have been ignored." Devaan said. He wished he had listened to Rashan before it was too late. As a result, a good man died.

these words are accepted

Devaan took off the fake foot. and let his spren become it. A shardfoot.

"There will be peace." Devaan stood up shakily. Slowly walking to the gateway to the main alleycity. He saw a giant storm forming

"Drako. Will you join me? as the leader of the black crusade. you can help broker a treaty here."

Is a Shardfoot considered demeaning to the spren?

"I can help broker a treaty with TUBA as well. I hold influence there, after all."

[Whatever time Rashan gave his speach]

Beautiful words he had heard Rashan say. Tevarah turned to Syen. "Thank you for your help, you may leave now if you wish, but I could use your help." Tevarah didnt let her answer before calling for a servant, a young man popped in through the tent flaps. "My lord?"

Tevarah sucked in a breath. "I want you to get all of the spikes that we have stored humanity in and give every lifeless soldier you can a spike, then brake their commands, if they choose to stay or go let them, but everyone of them will hear Rashans final words then make this oath they will only protect never attack they will be the healers, surgeons and medics.of this war and will save not kill.

[Present time]

Everyone was busy working, the hustle and bustle around the camp was chaos, but an organized chaos. They did a marvelous job these lifeless- no not lifeless Tevarah thought. They were truly alive, and turned out a surprising number had done the work of surgeons before they died, then had helped the others who were not learned to understand. They were all extremely talented moving fast healing burns, splinting broken bones and even some complicated surgeries were done. Currently Tevarah was pouring over the map using his tactic skills to move through the city trying to get to the Canton the safe haven, he could help there, he had food and all of these medics, but he needed to get there fast the storm was coming the one that would save them all.

As Titan punched Bloodbath, a bit of the human he used to be, before the spikes, trickled in. He realized what he was doing. He remembered the speech he had heard. And ignored. In a daze, he dropped Bloodbath onto the stone ground. He ordered his hoard to follow. He walked toward the worldspike.

"I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO VOIDUS PRIME!!!"

SOLACE and the GHOSTBLOOD ARMY were camped on the outskirts of the ALLEYVILLAGE. They were joined by MACE and the TUBA FORCES, and OTHER PEOPLE like the SENTINELS. They discovered that the ALLEYVILLAGE had been overrun by DARK DENIZENS. They attacked! over the walls and slew many DARK DUDES. A mysterious encounter with DRAKO, the leader of the BLACK CRUSADE, led one of the adventures to question if the CRUSADE was really on the side of the DARK ALLEY, as was first assumed. But there was no time to ponder that, for there was fighting to be done. The battle continued. It has yet to truly enter the ALLEYWAYS so VOIDUS PRIME has yet to react with much force. But when he does... IT'S GOING TO BE DRAMATIC. Will the attackers attempt to reach the WORLDSPIKE, thus earning the wrath of VOIDUS? Will the GHOSTBLOODS and TUBA FORCES be able to work together? Find out now, as the SEVEN DAY WAR continues!

*****

The TUBA CREW is in or near a UNDERGROUND LAIR. (SOLACE somehow knew about the base, despite never being in TUBA like RHAZIEN was.) With the help of SOLACE, ELKANAH intends to summon an ALLEYSTORM. Outside, a SHOGGOTH fights ROHAN. It was injured when MACE blew himself up. Elsewhere, HELLBENT and DEVAAN are dueling. VOIDUS PRIME and CAER are visiting the WORLDSPIKE. YZABET is trying to remember her backstory, which may be the key to discovering why she [REDACTED]. SYEN is doctorin', DEATH is singing, DRAKO is trying to convince people that the BLACK CRUSADE isn't the enemy. The TUBA basement is the scene of a pitched battle.

Will the ALLEYSTORM be successfully summoned? Has CAER really been DISINTEGRATED? Find out now, as the SEVEN DAY WAR continues!

*****

DEVAAN killed HELLBENT, but injured his leg in the process. DEVAAN has also gathered the civilians in the CANTON OF COMBAT. NAERMAN has joined the fight, attacking a TUBA SOLDIER.
CAER touched the WORLDSPIKE, giving him a glimpse of the future. He has taken it upon himself to unite the guilds, lest they all be destroyed. Elsewhere, the CAGES were opened, releasing a hoard of DARK ALLEY ABOMINATIONS. The WORLDSPIKE was locked down as a result, becoming inaccessible. One monster to watch out for is THE PHOENIX, a big bird with fire stuff going on. Bigger than the Harry Potter one, but smaller than the one that hangs out with Jean Grey.

ARE WE ALL GOING TO DIE? Find out now as the SEVEN DAY WAR continues!

*****

No one could have predicted all these plot twists! Except DEVAAN, who had some atium! He used it to kill HELLBENT, but nearly lost his leg in the process. Shortly after, YZABET and SOUL were seen fighting some of the BLACK CRUSADE. Then, RASHAN CAER, DEVAAN, MACE and KANE met on the top of a skyscraper so RASHAN could make a speech calling for unity. A PHOENIX attacked afterwards, killing RASHAN as he saved two children, MAX and MARA. DEVAAN, MACE, and KANE teleported to the CANTON OF COMBAT building to rest, but MACE was ambushed by members of the BLACK CRUSADE! Meanwhile, ROHAN died in battle. Crazy BLOODBATH still roams the streets, out for blood, and SYEN is talking to the GHOSTBLOODS.

Will the Homeless unite, as RASHAN CAER wished? Will the PHOENIX ever be defeated? When will the ALLEYSTORM be summoned? Find out now as the SEVEN DAY WAR continues!

Here's an update log

The small creature lunged at her with two blades held aloft, his speed carried him directly into her left wing on an upbeat, one blade made of metal-that-wasn't, another made directly of bone.

The metal that wasn't slid into her flesh slowly as the power coursing within her resisted it. She felt it tearing at that power, cutting not flesh but the spirit itself. The blade of bone followed after, carving a more physical wound that followed after the slash of spiritual damage.

Her resistance prevented it from carving all the way through the wing before she caught the human on her downbeat, flinging him away from her flesh. But the feathers along the outside half of her wing had dulled from vibrant orange to a dull grey.

Her flight was thrown off balance as some of her muscles no longer responded and blood began dripping down the feathery limb from the gash that the sword of bone had inflicted.

Losing altitude she glared up at the human with renewed hatred. She pulled at the storm inside her, forcing it through the grey and lifeless limb.

Flesh knitted shut, feathers returned to their former, vibrant colours. Flames burst forth over her wing again.

With one more flap, she propelled herself after the human, engulfed herself in a shroud of fire, and stretched her talons out in front, preparing herself to attack with full force.
