Very nice job nard1993 and the Idrian Coalition for working together to get us.  Claincy, those were some great writeups.

Ditto on the writeups. I didn't really pay attention to the threads, but I never stopped reading the writeups. They were brilliant. The bar has been set high for Mailliw73 in Game 5.

And oh my goodness on the length of the PK doc. That is two Emperor's Soul's worth of words. I am speechless.

Aili, you force my death and then use my body to protect yourself? You're so rude :(

The best thing though? Maybe 20k words were actual plotting. the rest was laughs. We had like, 3 pages straight of Aspren Copyrighting everythng we said while we deleted his words.

That Doc is a Masterpiece.
I may have just skimmed for the 117 mentions of Gamma/Gammer....

I'll update later to explain my game actions and go in-depth about the decision for my betrayal. ;)

I gotto admit that Im abit annoyed at aili for considering me not to be an ok loss since I wouldent contribute anything when I(rather, my thinking hat;)) had correctly picked out a PK (Wilson) (admittedly, it was just a strong suspicion at that point;).

Protected both Jeo and wilson there, you did! ;)

Seriously though, I'm Not sure if I can meet Claincy's standards for write ups.

Wyrm, I'm sorry. I tried to do it with respect. You gave your life to protect the good and this way you could continue to do so after death.

Great game, all! And Wilson, just scanning the doc, you thought I would be easy to manipulate? I told Aonar as soon as you were talking to him that we should kill you because I immediately suspected foul play. He believed you though, and while it eventually worked out, we could've kept him. But good job. You're amazing at this.

Edit: Dyring, sorry about that. It just seemed so random. Do you mind explaining how you picked her out so quickly? I know, I'm so embarrassed this game was definitely my most outgoing one, and for sure the one with the most mistakes.

I propose that Hallandrens and Idrians each take control of half the lifeless army. We both have people who know the codes and this is just.

Looks like the PK were pretty convinced I was a Mercenary for a bit there. Heh. I played the game pretty straightforwardly, not making a single lie the entire time (that I recall, and if I did it was not significant).

Yeah, there's nothing like plotting to kill everyone and lying to people to somehow bring out the comedy. :P

I haven't gotten a chance to read the Docs yet, but I'm looking forward to it! Great game everyone! Sorry I got distracted about halfway through. We were in the process of setting up everything for the triple Mod stuff and figuring that all out.

That was all me. I was playing both sides. And it was hilarious.

Also. 10k words shy of the game 2 spiked doc. Not bad, boys. Not bad at all. :)

EDIT: Also, Dyring. I'm definitely going to be attentive to the people you vote for. And I am incredibly curious how you pegged me too.

Finally finished reading the PK doc. That thing is massive. I feel terrible now for everyone who tried to read though our 75,000 word doc from game two. ;)

It was very well played for the most part. Major props to Wilson for manipulating me for that long. There were several points where I was suspicious of her, but she never quite made the top of my List. I should really have listened to my gut (and Maill's suggestions) and killed her on the Fifth night. :P

That was a lot of fun, though I must say it is far more stressful trying to coordinate everybody as a Monk than conspiring kill everybody as a Spiked. :P

Posted

Wait, Aonar, you weren't actually certain Wilson was Spiked?  We based several strategies off the fact we assumed you were feeding us fake information.  And seeing your suspicion lists was certainly a reason to panic multiple times.

If people want, I could put together what PM's I was involved in with the trust together like Gamma did. Aonar might be able to add more though.

I am highly amused that Aonar was not protected by Alan once :P

That is pretty funny, we were convinced he would be protected

Posted

Well, I wasn't convinced he was always protected. But I knew if we attacked with the PK attack, we'd take away the 5th H protection level, and then he'd get Alan guarding him. Or that's what I figured. All those levels of protection on him made him an undesirable target despite how powerful he was.

Obviously, if we'd known he was completely open, we would've gone for him, but as it was, it would've been a waste. He would've survived--I assumed Aili would give up her breath to save him, since I'd been running off the assumption there was only one Monk. And maybe she would've. Or maybe she would've let him die and Sifa would've taken over. Everyone would've piled onto her just like they did with Aonar.

I would've saved Aonar, if it hadn't been so late game and i had more powerful abilities than him once he was targeted.

I dont know how I did it. Was all the hat it was. Everyone should have a thinking hat.

The hat was an attempt to seem less threatening. Went to crap that plan. Figured when I tried to be very pushy(aka, beetle in game one) everyone turned on me instead. Figured I should try to just put it out there, and stay out of the spotlight.

And I wasent 100% either. Just close;). And dyring moves in mysterious ways. Dont wanna let my secrets out, theyv worked well so far;)

*edit just noticed the language filter. It no like the excrement word ? ;)

One thing that I'm very proud of though, is that we did all this with a spy for the first night only. Chide got me into Aonar's trust and then went inactive and we had to work around that.

Posted (edited)

Yeah, the Spy being inactive really did help the PK to last for as long. But with limited verification, Aodan did do a good job of getting a nice Trust going.

As to why I latched onto Wilson as a teammate early on in the game, as she stated in the PK Doc, I gave a reason because we had good team synergy in the past, and I knew she was either going to be a potential ally, or she would be the Pahn Kahl. So we would either work together, or I knew if she was Pahn Kahl and thought I completely trusted her, then she would keep me around. (Even though she did contemplate taking me out a few times in the Doc, it seems)

So I kept that in mind going forward at first. Because I started with only 1 Breath, so I knew I would never be able to get too much power going for myself. So I had to gain somebody's trust.
When Wilson received my breath, that's when my suspicions started paying off, and I even let Aodan know when he came out as the Monk.
But as the game progressed and all the Roles and interactions started coming together, I did start to realize the Villagers had the edge this game, which was balanced out by the Idrian vs Halledren dynamic.
That was really great, by the way, Claincy. It really did help add a whole other level of deception, and of course allowed my betrayal. XD
And then there was my expressed interest in the PK winning.... (which was, again, a test of sorts, to gauge Wilsons reaction)

But then by time Wilson came forward to me and offered to give me Cuddles, how could I refuse?! I mean, an awakened sword of my own!!
And then how the night results played out, with how things worked out, I figured I might as well not even make it any easier for the Villagers. Why cut the game short and not have as much fun?
(Although I would have left with the PK if they did so, like was discussed for a moment. I did advise for the game to just play out, though. I mean, you did a great job, Claincy.)

So, yeah. That's basically it. I do know the betrayal thing could set a bad precedent, especially for future games that involve only two sides. But for how things worked out in this game, I think it didn't really effect too much.

Great game, everybody! :D
