Hi everyone.

I'm new to the community. I became a fan of Brandon's work after reading The Way of Kings. I had been looking for high fantasy with expansive, living worlds full of wonder and magic, things that would make me feel that same excitement as Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. I tried Game of Thrones at a friend's recommendation but found that the dark, gory sequences of people being terrible to one another just wasn't suited to me. Then I found the Way of Kings where people are learning to hope and believe in something greater than themselves, and it struck a chord with me that I really liked!

After WoK I read Words of Radiance, then both Mistborn trilogies, Elantris, and Warbreaker. Now I'm about half way through Oathkeeper and loving it!

Additionally, this has stirred up in me a desire to write some stories of my own. I heard Brandon say that you should write the stories that you wish were out there, and something about that statement resonated with me. So I've started watching his online lectures to learn how to organize characters, plots, and settings. I also started listening to the Writing Excuses podcast which is very good!

I'm hoping to submit some of my stuff in the Reading Excuses section of the board to get some advice on how to make my writing better (more exciting and compelling). I hope that I can learn to capture some of the same magic that authors like Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Sanderson have put into pages for me to read. I'd like to be able to one day offer that kind of gift to others.

Thanks for the welcome.

It would certainly be a little pod you ride over the park while a mechanical Kaladin sings "A Whole New World" from Aladdin to a mechanical Shallan as they fly above you. When you get off, a machine gives you the newest addition to The Stormlight Archives, which is now a 50+ book series. Yes, I think that would about do it.

Renarin is my favorite. He's so relate-able. Everyone else has achieved such a super-human status already, most of them before even becoming Radiants. But he's still trying to figure it out, what his part is. He's not leading battles or the pinnacle of anything right now. He's just kind of following his dad around and hoping to be useful.

Welcome Seraph! Have an upvote! Anyways, around here, we like to greet each other by saying "my life to yours, my breath become yours" from Warbreaker. Your turn!

If you could choose to change the ending for one of Sanderson's books, Which would it be? And how? If you answer that you would leave them all the same, then I will rephrase my question. if you had to change the ending on one of sanderson's books, which one would it be? And how?
