DreamEternal Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I honestly doubt Hoid would give away his lightweaving so Kaladin could have a flute, so I think it just has great sentimental value to him. Mayyyybe it has some other power, but there is no evidence of it. 1

It is from a chapter published on Brandon's website. I believe it was said to be from Stormlight Archives book three. And, if I remember correctly, the Jasnah thing on the site says "takes place after Words of Radiance," but really it happens during chapter 7-ish.
