Caer looked around at the people, scared. So many different cognitive flames, so many different 'boons' and 'banes'. Some of these people's spirits were tainted. Some had spikes, some had other things. It was all flashing between Caer's eyes. He was not trained with seeing so many people's aspects all at once.

Looking around, Caer saw another flame, but one that had no physical aspect. A  ghost. Extending his hand, Caer gripped ahold of the flame, watching as a man appeared out of nothing, wearing a weird looking cloak. Immediately, his flame turned to worry. What was he doing here? Why invisible?

Caer felt a tug inside of him, immediately realising what he had to do. He'd always been peering passively into the spiritual realm, but it didn't do much. Still maintaining his grip on the man, Typhoon, as Devaan had called him, Caer closed his eyes and focused on the man's spiritual identity.

And he saw everything.

In a flash, Caer saw Typhoon's life. He saw how he'd been bred to be perfect, to be the best fighter, he saw his harsh upbringing, he saw how he swapped places with Kane in the Alleyway Bar, he saw how he fought Devaan, and Caer himself. He saw him place a shardblade in Caer's own chest, and then saw how he'd given the shardblade that saved his life. Caer saw beyond, however. He saw this moment, and many moments after. He saw the future, shown in brief flashes of unintelligible colour. He saw the beginning, the end, he saw Typhoon's birth and death. In way, Caer knew Typhoon more than he'd ever known himself. Was this the spiritual realm? Was this -

A sharp pain seized Caer's mind, seeming to crack it, making him collapse onto the ground with a yell. He'd pushed his mind too far, way too far. Men were not meant to see what he'd seen. The pain continued, increasing in intensity. He'd need training before he could pull another stunt like that again. The pain became unbearable. His head felt like it was squeezing itself shut. Too much knowledge, too much input. He breathed in stormlight sharply, but it did nothing.

His last sight before going comatose was an image of DEATH standing next to Devaan, grinning. Slowly, he turned to Caer, teeth gleaming in the sunlight. Then everything went black.

Yup, looks like Rashan has some power, but he's going to need some serious training before he accidentally kills himself with it.

Devaan heard the yell, then looked at death

"one moment" He told him

He saw Rashan staring into the air, weakly pointing at Rohan's invisble form. His mouth began to foam as he collapsed, staring at death, then falling into a coma

A scream tore through the air, coming from Veil, poor thing had to deal with Rashan's pain

"Li, start resealing now, here's some metalminds that will help"

Devaan handed Li some unsealed goldminds, and handed Rashan unsealed electrumminds

He looked to where Rashan was staring before he collapsed, nothing was there that he could see, but Rashan could see things no one else could, and he trusted him.

Devaan started tapping his tinminds, increasing his sense of smell and walked forwards, catching a scent of someone he recognised. Was it Akrasia? no, he wouldn't stay invisible. Ethil had no idea where he was. Perhaps it was Riathor?

Devaan closed his eyes for a moment, trying to identify the scent that lead to nowhere.

He walked forward, making sure the only person watching was death, and bumped into an invisible figure.

His eyes widened, being this close he could finally identify it.

"Rohan?" He whispered

Li TaiRu looked towards Rashan. He can see all all three realms, Nights. What must do to a man? To have lost your own soul yet be able to see the ones of all those around you.

At that moment Rashan passed out.

Li TaiRu took the metalminds. Gold and electrum those were healing and determination if he wasn’t wrong.

He began preparing for a Flesh Forgry and checking over Rashan. His body was fine, no wounds and any signs of sickness or poison. Physicly he was fine...

“He saw to much.” Li TaiRu realized, “Resealing won’t work. We need something to help his mind cope. What is it?... Zinc! Devaan do you have any zincminds on you?”

Darkness. The pain. It seemed all of his senses had stopped working, except the pain, the constant, ringing sensation.

It stopped.

Suddenly, a wave of clarity poured through Caer, forcing him back to consciousness. The flashes of the past and the future returned, but this time, he could understand. Turning he saw a short man press a piece of zinc and electrum against him, watching in surprise. Caer got a flash of the man, healing another with Caer before he'd died.

Caer stood up, feeling the mental load lighten. The flashes became comprehensible, but still confusing, depicting events thousands of years in the past and the future, and both. Time didn't matter in the Spiritual Realm. Space didn't either. Caer saw glimpses of planets long forgotten, civilisations lost to time. He was draining whatever source of power the short man had given him, but he could use it while he had it.

Stretching his mind, Caer tried to concentrate. Here, now. What was to come? What was to be? Caer saw. He looked around his group, and saw the people with him. Some would grow stronger. Some would die. Caer saw each of their spiritual beings, trying not to snap his mind once again. And then he saw what he'd been looking for. And it was horrifying.

Forcing himself to stop straining his spiritual sight, Caer quit before the zincmind ran out. Any longer, and he'd be back on the floor, writhing in pain. It had only been the mental speed in the zinc that had enabled him to see so clearly. The zincmind was drained, however, but that was the least of their problems.

Teary-eyed, Caer looked to the people surrounding him, their cognitive flames confused.

"I saw," he whispered, kneeling on the ground. "I saw what would happen."

Crouched on the ground, he began to sob.

"A war is coming. And there will be deaths like none have seen."

It's powerful, seeing the future, but the downside is that Rashan needs a constant supply of Mental Speed to even comprehend it and to avoid hurting himself. A good payoff, if you ask me.

Wait, are Caer and Rashan the same person?

Veil reeled over in pain, feeling sorry for Rashan, knowing that his state may permanently affect his body. Veil, on his knees by now, screaming, had never experienced such pain. And to think Rashan lived like this. Veil saw  Li Tairu kneel down, holding a metalmind towards Rashan.   A wave of relief washed over Veil, causing him to gasp. What came next shocked Veil. The pain was dimmed enough for Veil to make out what was happening, and he heard Rashan babbling about a war and deaths and whatnot. What shocked Veil was what he felt. Veil couldn't see what Rashan was experiencing, but he could feel it due to his connection to Rashan through his pain. The pain, the death, the sadness that was to come. He felt it all. The pain came back suddenly, and the last thing Veil remembered was Rashan's  suffering before he blacked out.

I'm just confused right now because there is someone named Rohan, as in the Riders of Rohan from Lord of the Rings.

Yzabet, lonely as ever, set out for the nearest perpendicularity.

Lol missed page 21

Death paused, looking at what unfolded before him, wings of fire unfolding behind him, one of George's many gifts. His staff turned into a Shardscythe, feeling like something dangerous was going to happen but he didn't know what. As he said this he noticed an eldritch monster walk up behind Devaan, probably a DA lab escapee. With one bat of his wings he appeared beside the monster, and letting his Shardscythe dissapear he touched the monster's slick body. It stopped in its tracks as its blood boiled and all the other liquids in its body froze. It collapsed near instantly, dead.

A war is coming, there will be deaths like none have seen

These words echoed in his mind as he walked up to the Death

"So, what do you need me to do this time?" Devaan asked him

Devaan looked towards Rashan

"Hey man, I'll be back later, hang in there" He told his friend as he stepped towards death

Death grabbed Devaan, his wings of fire came around him in a protective circle, and they disappeared. Death took them to one of his Alleyverse hidden underground homes. 'Would you like a drink?' he said reaching to open the liquor cabinet. 'I've noticed that talks of war go better over a drink.'

“I have difficulties with alcohol” Devaan told Death

”I tend to lose clarity after a glass, let’s begin”

Devaan pulled a chair out for both him and Death

”I presume this is about the black crusade”

Realmatics note here: Viewing the future is still subject to the usual limitations even if done by peering into the spiritual realm. Peering thousands of years into the future would definitely be possible but also borderline meaningless with how fractured the possibilities are.

I see what you mean. The 'flashes' Rashan sees were really meant to despict that, each flash a different sort of future. If Rashan ever uses Future Sight, it'll probably be recent events and even then will have the usual future seeing drawbacks, notably the 'future can be changed' one.

(Also, being an Australian is kinda lonely. It's like you and I are the only people in the Alleyverse right now.)

I agree, seeing the future is going to be tricky in the alley verse

And you two aren’t the only ones in Australian time right now, I’m here too!

Solace still stood overlooking the Alleycity. Behind him a small battalion, consisting of 750 heavy infantry, 150 Calvary, and 50 units of seige equipment emerged from the forest. Two chasmfiends lumbered from the forest, each controlled by a mistborn. The chasmfiends were lifeless, spiked with every form of allomancy and Feruchemy. One held three ballista on it's back. The other was a transport for his coin shots. Pieces of metal hung from off its back allowing the coin shots to shoot off the chasmfiends back and into the city.

"Perfect."

He steel pushed himself-from a dropped coin-onto the nearest chasmfiends back.

"we camp here. We attack at dawn. Keep watch, I don't want to be attacked during the night."

The actual attack will occur on a different thread, a new one.
