Well if I have to run out in front at least it will take me out soon rather that living the terrible life of a bridgeman.

I have read Mistborn which is also extremely good. I also think that Five Kingdoms by Brandon Mull is good too but not as involved as what Sanderson writes.

True that. Re-reading the Five Kingdoms series hurt my Sanderson-enhanced eyes.

I'll say the same for Fablehaven. (another Brandon Mull series) It was pretty good, but the comparison is like a whitespine trying to rival a chasmfiend.

So much potential... I actually enjoyed that series, but it was meant for a younger audience with lower expectations. I'd say his most engaging world building was in the Beyonders series. But I appreciate how like Sanderson, Mull does crossovers between his series (I was sooooo happy when Ferrin came back.)

Ferrin is definitely up there. I'm a big Galloran fan too. He's the ultimate lovable mentor, and he's good at stabbing people. (I didn't think the explanation for why he got his eyes was good enough, but that's just me.)
