What would you prefer?

This applies two ways...

Books.

1. One book governed by a an acceptable word count; or

2. Two books that gives Brandon's vision of that book without a word count deadline. {Id pay for two half books}

Movies/Tv show.

Given Stormlight book 1 is projected as four hours long, what would you prefer?

1. Two, two hour movies; or

2. A 16 ep tv show that has to 100% have a high budget. 

....

I’d pick 2 both times. Brandons stuff is great: it deserves to be told in the best possible way.

I'd pick 2 for the first, but 1 for the second. I think 4 hours is a good balance of freedom and restraint. In fact, make it a five-hour movie with an intermission. That's how Hollywood made epics back in the old days, and I think it could work again.
