The footsteps suddenly stopped echoing around and became clearly audible as a cloaked figure with glowing red eyes and a crossbow rounded the corner at a dead run.

The Notblades were very happy that they were being used, so happy that @Dragonheir Rebus began to see little rabbits hopping around. Then the rabbits turned feral and started to nibble at his feet.

"Are you here for emotional support?" Rebus asked, somewhat venomously. 

Rebus had had poor experiences with rabbits in the past. He skewered them with telescoping spears of utility fog, to nip a possible problem in the bud.

That wasn't really how that worked, but Rebus didn't press the issue.

That wasn't really how that worked, but Rebus didn't press the issue. 

He gained all sorts of insights in its, but Wrath was lazy. It seemed to be mutating and giving itself superpowers to better infect things.

 

Oh yes it was. He should really read up on what a Notblade is.

Rebus considered crossbreeding it with the grey goo (or I guess tan goo, because it's weaponized), decided that was a terrible idea, and took a sample in case he changed his mind. "So, are you allow to know or tell me what Nurgal wants?" 

Rebus had been very careful not to allow himself to be struck - this was perhaps an issue.

Well, the Notblades weren’t actually real, and were rather excited from Bat’s emotional rollercoaster, so they broke some of the laws of nature. Pain is better at that, but I think they’ve been discussing it together enough for Illusion to pick up a thing.
