It's just that introducing new characters usually introduces new plot as well

Hi, kinda jumping in a bit late, but this looks really fun.

Taeidin slips on the stairs and tumbles down to the bottom; he looks up, dazed, and sees Cep smiling down at him from above.

There's not really a late it's kinda chaotic. Nice to have you! 

That's fine, but generally you want to make your own character to join in with, as each person usually controls one or more characters.

He turned to Bat. "Can't you hear how callous they are? I know you can read the posts. See how little they care, simply turning to Stone - the man who tried to kill Cricket - when you're not interesting enough, not timely enough."

She hesitated. "That... no, we're not in any dungeons." She continued trudging up the mountain. "Let me know if you see any structures." 

Bat choked, sobbing still.

As Taeidin and Cep exit into they hallway, they hear distant shouts rapidly drawing closer. "Welp, ah reckon that means our time has run out," Cep says, breaking into a jog. Suddenly, they hear feet faintly running from around the corner ahead of them. Then from behind them as well. "Uh." Cep skids to a stop. "Hide in my brain an' hope they're gone when we get back, or...?"

Alright, we’ve got Whan (mysterious ball of darkness nobody has yet determined the identity of), Jack (clockwork guy, looking for meaning in life - Bacon kinda left him outside the party), Sagerian (a guy with a book, trying to write interesting things), the turtle from a while ago (very large), or a new character. 
“Bat is here, but it’s been so long that my Author no longer remembered who I was talking to.”

Meanwhile, Wrath decided a protagonist would need to be added, because he’s been feeling in villains too much lately.

 

 

Deep in the desert, a figure wrapped tightly in a blue cloak looked up suddenly, checking her arm to survey the many, many watches on the arm. “Oh dear! It’s been a while, hasn’t it! At least a few aeons,” Aeon said.

Wrath was willing to donate a protagonist. Tull, the once Narrator, hasn’t done anything in a while.

He’d have to ask @xinoehp512, though, because there were questions about a quest to restore his Narration.

As the footsteps draw nearer, Taeidin leaps out the window, following Cep. Once on the ground, shouts can be heard from inside the building. 

"I think they saw us."
