First voice (growing angry): "I don't care! We need it soon if the Master's plans are to work! Send them out again; we will find them." 

Second voice (exasperated): "Okay, okay! I'll see to it." 

First voice: "Good."

A sloshing can be heard, as if something has been dipped into the pool. 

Second voice: "What will you do with that?" 

First voice (smugly): "You'll see." 

The door opens again, and the two people pass from the room.

She sighed.

Okay, first of all, I don't define her by you. She cares about you, and was only waiting for your return because she didn't want to leave you. She's still her own person. Secondly, she's not dead, I've just taken her out of the Thread for a moment. I could bring her back at any moment and it would be like nothing had happened. Thirdly-

She sighed again and glared at Rebus.

Thirdly, the entire reason I pulled her out wasn't because of you, or myself, or because she was waiting for you. I pulled her out because of Rebus. You know how he is.

He wasn't wrong about the last part though.

Cep steps out of the pantry. "Well that was certainly odd. Ah wonder who this Master they were talkin' 'bout is...and what they need. Don' suppose yeh recognized either o' those voices?"

Stormy appeared. "Whoa, chill." he said. "first of all, you're not a terrible Author, though I do agree that Rebus is someone not be trusted, especially by Tam. Also, , Bat . . . you're an amazing person. Don't let this put you down. If you want to achieve Protagonist, this is necessary. Things will get a lot harder going forward."

"I did not. 

I gathered that they are looking for something and have been for a while. They have a month to find it, as it is integral to this Master's planning. And I believe... I believe that they said they need a specific group of people in order to find this thing? Or maybe a gender-neutral individual?"

Just a way to not die yet.

Prie saw something and dashed towards it. It was a small cluster of growth down a side passage after a few quick bends. When he got to the growth he hid and hoped that the bugs would go past him and not look in here

The “plotblade” is fake - its only abilities are a compulsion to want to possess it and siphoning off the magic and soul of someone who holds it for too long - so holding it for too long would be bad. Investigating it would reveal a connection to the real Plotblade, which is of course the scepter. 
Lezterp would eventually notice this, and has enough magical power he wouldn’t be killed beforehand - Rebel killed a dozen guards quite a while ago with this same trick. 

Rebel caught the blade by the hilt, and glowing energy flowed off of it into him.

dot grinned as the ground shook a bit. laiya ran out of the room she went into and hid behind the twos cage. "Dotty, i think that it worked to well." She whimpers through her mask. 

dot spins towards the room. Out stumbles a nesr 17 year old ish kid with a blue vest over a white shirt. He had military style pants and a military style hat. The same military hat that atlas wore right then. Smoke crawled against the ground and the kids eyes had red lightning flickering out of them.

atlas froze. She stared at the dude her face frozen in a shocked and scared face. "Bacon" she says softly. "I... dont... think thats Ben anymore." She hid behind Bacon and grabbed his shirt.
