It seemed to follow him.

The ground began to crack and crumble beneath his feet, becoming loose and making it near impossible to move.

Foxes do actually scream  it's adorable

They tumbled into the darkness.

After about ten seconds, they hit something. Hard. Like, really hard.

But it was soft enough that they didn't die, so there.
