That's the best way I know to describe it.

I feel like it makes more sense for it to lie in the center of the axes than it does for it to somehow be unrelated but still fundamental. That would have the properties you want, I feel. The Shapers, though, have obviously been tipped towards Chaotic Darkness, and the Fragment of Corruption even more so. A desire to destroy everything is the very definition of Chaotic Darkness.

Pob walks out with Kiri. They are in a lush valley with rust-colored stream running through the middle. Oddly, there is no wildlife to be found. Gesturing towards one end of the valley, Pob replies. 

"That'n and a little ways be where Purcel is."
