Just now, Through The Living Glass said:

"Oh- okay. Cool."

She followed him.

He walked into a small store on the way, opening the door for her. “After you.”

“You seem very giddy,” he jested

He smiled and kissed her on the forehead, trying his best to comfort her

She kept crying and hugged him tighter, fists clenching around his shirt.

The red haired girl set down a tray of food and she and the woman left.

9 minutes ago, Through The Living Glass said:

That sounds wonderful, she sighed.

-

She grabbed his arm, pulled him forward, and punched him in the face as hard as she could.

Then she grabbed the pill and took it.

"Thanks," she grinned.

"I-I just didn't expect to be off so soon! This is so exciting!" she told him animatedly.

Irie-

*deep sigh*

He rocked her back and forth. "Okay. Let's go."

-

He yelped and grabbed his nose, staring at her incredulously.

"We're trying to help you! What the heck was that?"

Okay, now Stormy? :P

Yes now stormy. And this is also the translator so its like a 2 in one I guess

”Where are you man?!” He shouted to the back

He led her out of the cave place. "Where do you wanna go?"

-

He ground his teeth. "I try so hard to pour my heart and soul into rescuing people like you. People like you, isn't that funny?"

He disappeared behind the curtain.

She shrugged, hoping the people of her hometown would be okay.

Dunno. Where do you want to go?

-

. . . Actually, she found that hilarious.

Eventually she fell asleep.

He thought about that.

“Somewhere we can smell the ocean.”

goshhh irieeeee 🙄

She woke up in a wood room with very thick restraints. A rug was on the floor, along with a nice coffee table. The cot she was tied to was the only boring thing. The room was just like Starlight’s, except that she was restrained. Very sturdily.

She nodded and took them to a nice little beach with blue water and white sand.

There was a little beach house behind them.

She collapsed onto the sand with a groan.

-

hehehehe

"Aw, man . . ."

She supposed that made sense, though.

Bat smiled at her and sat next to her.

-

After maybe ten minutes, a teenage girl who looked remarkably like Twelve (down to the red hair, freckles, and gang lines) entered. She didn’t look at Tam, at least not more than she had to. She scanned her, felt her forehead, and muttered a bunch of technical terms, all while actively and coldly avoiding eye contact.

Irie suffered her monitoring without complaint.

"So . . . siblings? You look pretty similar."

He sobbed into her shoulder, nothing audible coming through. He was broken. Again. It wasn't a hard fix, but you can't operate on yourself

He took her free hand and stared at the stars.

She stopped.

“Thanks for saving my life, Thirteen,” she said in a fake high voice. “I’m so very appreciative of not having to bleed out on a runway in the middle of nowhere. I’m so, so sorry for punching your poor brother who was only trying to help me. I didn’t stop to think maybe he has his own problems. I just wanted to punch his face, you see, and I didn’t consider how much he suffers through already. I didn’t consider that I might become another reason he wants to pull you away from this place and go start a life far away from the organization fighting the people who traumatized and tortured us for years. I’m really sorry about that. Please don’t let me starve out of spite.”

She glared at Irie for several seconds, gaze steeped in anger.

She squeezed his hand and wondered briefly what had happened to that little crab in her hair.

She sighed laid her head back, not exactly feeling like she should tell this girl her life's story.

The little crab was doing quite well. It had found a lady crab and they had several baby crabs and all loved happily deep in her hair.

-

“At least you know when to shut up,” the girl snapped, flicking her hair behind her shoulders. “You touch another one of any of us again, and we will dump you at the top of a mountain.”

The door cracked open, and Thirteen jumped guiltily.

“Th-“ Twelve sighed from the doorway. “Come on,” he muttered to his sister, unable to look at Irie. “I told you not to do this.”

She scoffed. “I’m not doing anything.”

”Thirteen, please?”

After a second, she sighed and headed for the door.

She stared.

"Wh... what do you mean, pick one of you?"

-

It is no longer canon that an idiot with a computer forgot about Parasite. The idiot happened to remember this tidbit and of course always took it into account, of course. The Notblade is now safely in the hands of Symbol, as it has, of course, been for many pages. Of course.

Symbol rolled several of the smaller spheres, and the ground around her opened, splitting into two half-circles and neatly disappearing into the floor, besides a small circle where she stood with the pillar. Steps led downward. She considered them for a moment.

"I suppose I could just bring her out here. I feel I've had rather enough of stuffy caves for the time being--- what say you?"

She grinned. "And if you really expected the Authors to be shocked by a manipulative character, you haven't seen their home lives. Or, in the case of mine, the inside of their brains."

The reflection shrugged. “This is a trial, after all. You’re supposed to overcome a fault or at least acknowledge it exists. Hence, you’ve been deconstructed into several aspects of your personality which you can then evaluate. I’m not sure how I knew that.”
Rebus wondered how the not-actually-an-idiot would account for the fact that it had been mind-controlling a clone of him to serve as the Narrative portion of the security system.
“Caves… I’d have to agree with you.” Rebus smiled. “And the Authors being shocked was not my expectation. I had predicted at least one character noticing and trying to deal with me, but I suppose that fewer Narrators and Authors are watching than they used to.”

The pair emerged into reality once more, at the foot of what appeared to be a burned and blackened tree.

An ordinary being would have wondered what events had caused a fire like that. The orb took it in stride, forming a preliminary extrapolation that the tree may have been a biological interface to the supercomputer. Or just a tree.

“A… a fault?”

-

The idiot would likely do something completely uninteresting with this clone. Like make the clone go on a journey of discovery.

She rolled the marbles again and the floor closed. As soon as she stepped back to where Rebus was, the ground began to churn and bubble.

It's . . . been a weird day, she finally said.

That sounded just fine to Irie.

She stared up at the ceiling while Thirteen left.
