AW THANKS :D❤️

She did. She explained that nothing had blown up or anything, but that the preserve was in danger because all of Lady Bug’s safeguards were gone.

“I’ll help,” the intern volunteered. Several others did as well.

"Thank you." He peered into the rest of the room.

Mhm!

He grinned and cuddled her back.

“Night, Tam.”

It was a bunker. A couple of bunks were over by one wall, and some shelves held what looked like a lot of food. There was a television abd some other random stuff.

Mm, goodnight . . .

She very quickly fell asleep.

(time-skip noises)

The next morning the air was very cold, though the blankets were still warm. That was about it.

“No, I don’t-“ Unintelligible blinked. “Hang on. There actually is one more name. ‘Malevolence’? Funny I didn’t notice it till now.”

Sequence's expression lit up. "Didn't you say Malevolence was too dangerous to approach?" She looked excited, already arranging the bags of tea in her basket. "Should I write them a letter now, or should we try to find them first? Sorry, I very much fancy the idea of meeting somebody truly terrifying, especially after how pleasant Ruia and the Ghost turned out to be." Sequence smiled. "Not that I'm complaining, of course," she added.

Bat thought it was too cold and worried about Tam. So he hugged her tighter and pet her.

"Sure, we'll help," said one of the women. She was intensely focused on her videogame, which she was playing with another dude. "After I beat him--- dangit, dangit, dangit!"

The dude cackled.

Bat smiled and gently scratched her ears, bundling more blankets around her. He was still worried she'd get cold, so he hugged the little stoat-bundle. Hopefully she'd wake up if she got too cold, though.

Bat wasn't having a dream. He was just happy hugging her.

But in an alternate reality in her dream, Bat was a big fish.

Fish-Bat liked being a big scary fish. He floated near the stoat to scare her.

Fish-Bat was pleased.

He swam away to scare some smaller fish.

Rebus, since his previous “threat” had promptly forgotten to attack, gave giant fish Bat a real body above the caverns, which would do everything Bat did in the dream.

Well, Tam just agreed to attack the city after Rebus showed up looking rather urgent, and then she forgot about it went to sleep. Actually, probably some things Rebus could do with that.

Oh I know

And she knows that too

But she also knows that regardless of whether she went to sleep or not, no time would pass for the other plots unless things actually started going down

Hence she wanted to do it after she got some rest

Rebus moved the giant monster into the dream, so Tan could do things. It was still linked to fish-Bat, though.

She stuck her tongue out at the fish, then turned into a shark and chased it.

The Bat-Fish, which was a lionfish, puffed up like a pufferfish.

Glen looked up. "Huh. Might be."

It was.

"Wanna go in?"

Bat-Fish did not understand. So he puffed up bigger.

Fish Bat was intimidated, but refused to back down. So this monster thought it could be bigger than him, huh?

He puffed up even more.

It appeared so suddenly that it startled her awake. Even better.

She blinked her big eyes up at Bat.

Morning.

@Halcyon The Only

He grinned at her and scratched behind her ears, oblivious to the angry dying cries of Fish Bat, who no longer existed.

"Morning."

She pressed her head into his palm happily, then looked around.

I'm a burrito, she observed.
