She swatted at his hand, thinking he was one of the tentacles.

Then she realized who it was and hugged him, uncertain what exactly he was going to do.

Bat hugged her close and swept the blade in an arc, cutting through as many of the tentacles as he could reach to caused the beast as much pain as possible. He drew on what he knew of pain--- the aching pain of drilled teeth, the sharp pain of paper cuts, the blinding pain of a nuclear blast, the screaming pain of knives and fleshy burrow monsters.

she shrugged. "Not the first time. Prolly won't be the last." Her personality was... alot different this time. She barely seemed to... remember pyk....

side effect of dying. Alot of your feeling get ... killed ya know. Sorta what happened before when she was tone/emotionless..... im sorry but that has to happen. It's how it works. There's a whole logic and thing behind it on time and all of it. Gotta follow the rules. Even if I made them.

And they did. They got to the lake, and he dumped her in so no monsters would get her. Then he plopped down and dug another vial out of his pouch, this one a cold, sterile gray. 

He hesitated, glancing back. If the monster stayed on them, and he was weak...

She healed her foot and Bat's arm, then fixed her boot.

Poison?! What, is that the antidote? Drink it!

She grabbed a pair of nice loose cargo jeans and a tank top, the latter similar to what she'd worn before, but with a rose printed on the front in white, because she thought it was funny. She bought it, changed in the bathroom, and threw the rest of the dress away.

"Jeez, calm down. I have like ten minutes." He glanced back into the tunnel. "We should be good... but I have to hold up until we get out of here." He put it back in his bag and stood up. "Come on." 

The rush from the drug was definitely fading. He'd have to be really careful.

She snatched his bad and dug around for a second until she found it, then shoved the antidote into his hands.

I don't care if you have ten minutes to live, we're SAFE here. At least SAFER because I can finally Narrate again. Actually, was there Nullite in that? Can I just Narrate it out of you?
