She fixed her eyes on the stairs beneath her, rubbing her upper arms. 

He walked next to her, thinking to himself. He wished he could help, bur every time he tried, he made things worse. His happy expression began to fade out as he looked down at the ground and began to slow his movements

Aden led them up several more flights of stairs and through a door into what looked like a nicely furnished apartment. A big, very nice apartment. There was a window comprising an entire wall, and whrn Aden flicked a switch, it took on a slight tint. “We can look out, but nobody sees in,” he explained. 

Five wasn’t listening. She flew over to the window and sat down by it, huddled in her blanket while she watched the sun rise over a bustling city.

He sat there in a corner, panicking and breathing quickly and heavily. He couldn't respond, his body wouldn't let him. But he hoped he would come in anyway

She jumped at the scream and squeezed her eyes shut, hugging the life out of the blanket (if it had had any).

The feeling she gotten from Rose earlier . . . was gone now.

She kinda missed it.

A lot.

Maybe . . . maybe she could recreate it again later? When Rose came back?

Probably not best to outright provoke the other girl. She was bound to provoke Tam again, after all.

She stiffened at first, not sure what to do. She wasn’t really used to being hugged. 

But it felt really nice… 

So she wrapped her arms around him and held on tightly, feeling tears trickle down her cheeks.
