Just now, Halcyon The Only said:

"No. You're not. I just---"

The door opened, flinging light across the floor. Five pressed herself to the wall, terrified, as the light turned on. 

"They're coming," Aden said, sounding panicked. "We think they're tracking you some how. Come on--- Ria can get them out for you--- come on, we need to get you out of here!" 

Five was frozen. 

He turned red. "Am too," he muttered.

Ria blinked. "Gosh, okay. Uh... let me think." 

"Crap." he said, shoving himself up. He stretched his hand out to Five. "We'll have to finish this later, come on."

She smirked at him and walked back into the kitchen.

She nodded and turned to leave.

"I'm going to go help him get those two in here- be right back!"

She ran to the room where Five and Starlight were.

She clung to the leg of the bolted-down bed and didn't respond. 

"Irie, thank goodness." He gestured to Five.

"Sure. But you have to be a rabbit if you're eating carrots, so I can cook and eat you. Oh, wait, not yet---" He reached over and hugged her tightly.

She grinned and squeezed him back, then let go and summoned a little plate of strawberry shortcake and a bowl of salad.

I'm too lazy to actually make them, she laughed.

Then she sat at the table and created some carrots and ranch for herself.

Irie sighed and sat on the ground nearby.

"Starlight, would you go with Aden? At least we'll get one of you taken care of . . ."

She didn't really have a choice. They'd drag her out anyway. And... he did understand, didn't he? 

"Don't touch me," she whispered, but slowly let go of the bed.
