That wasn't his fault, of course. With everything that'd been happening the past week or so . . . it was hard to actually find a place that felt safe and secure. Oh well. She'd probably find that feeling eventually . . .

The mercenaries sit down or stays standing and loom. Rebus nods to them, looking much happier now that the Ghost is gone.

She debated for a moment, than hopped down onto the floor and turned back into her regular self. She looked . . . haggard. Her face was pale and dirty, her eyes gaunt with dark circles under them, the clothing she was wearing was rumpled and dirty, and her hair was tangled with leaves and dirt still stuck in it from the day before.
