“The best who took the hard way, at least.” Rebus says, stepping back to pivot away from the strike. Then he sweeps both hands together, striking inwards as if his left hand also contained a sword.

Rebus's sword vanishes, and he tries to catch Savior Complex, stepping into it and betting that it will slow down rather than strike him down.
