She cringed inwardly but hopped onto his shoulders.

As they arrived, she marveled at the fact that Elliot had slept so long. Almost a whole day straight, now.

She definitely wants at least Rebus and Malevolence, and she’s thinking of talking more with the cleansing guy. She’s thinking about some of the machination people, if she can work around the obvious problems. 

Alright, so we need me, you, and @NameIess. The Machination would love some lessons for it's members - the Ghost would probably even accept it as payment for a task.

Well, that was utterly uninformative.

And she thought his haircut was stupid.

A knife appeared and pressed itself to Elliot's neck, and she motioned happily for Bat to try again.

Elliot squinched his eyebrow. “Uhhhhhh… Parker lane— oh, no, wait. Benson Lane, Colbeck, California. Number sixteen. I’m Elliot Parker.” 

Bat stared at him, dumbfounded.

"Don't be afraid to ask me questions." Rebus smiles, kindly then excited. "I want a legacy, and nothing would be as impactful as demonstrating another axis of reality. I have some preliminary evidence, but I need your help to make a sample."

"I see. I see. We all have our reasons, don't we?" Something in Balitan's tone seemed disbelieving, but he continued on undeterred. "I will need to retrieve my notes in order to begin research. You said you would give me a teleportation beacon?"

Ruia raised her eyebrows, amused. Not that she personally had an opinion either way. They were both weak.

Balitan vanishes back to his current office, where he writes out a note to (hopefully) assuage fears that he has been kidnapped, pulls out several files of notes and places them in a bag, and breaks a hole in the floor, pulling out the locked safe he'd installed there, opens it, takes out a key, then uses that key along with a forty-seven digit long passcode to summon an object from the highly secure alternate dimension it had been secured in. He places this object in his lab coat pocket, then teleports back to Rebus. "All ready. Did you say you had samples of the fundamental substances?"
