His sister is a human. So is his best friend. In the world he's from, "elves" are a archaic genetic branch of humans, and are slightly different. Same aproximate lifespan though.

He pushed it into the sand, heating the sand and melting it too glass. Then he cooled it on his sword, and handed it to her. A delicate, long thin, snakes like dragon made of glittering green glass.
