Of course, Malevolence wouldn’t be actually captured, and it potentially wouldn’t even be Malevolence. I’d either take Bat’s Notblade, or teleport Bat to me as a surprise attack. One touch with it, we win. Otherwise, we get a climatic battle. If somehow neither circumstance plays out, we can get a teleportation beacon on Malan’s person, then either go to him or bring him to us.”

Malevolence frowned. "I don't see how I could blackmail Malan. The Enullers obviously can't find him any better than I can, and they're already aware of him so it's not like I could threaten to set them on his trail. And while he might want me, he wants me dead, just like Cricket. No, we need a hostage. Someone that Malan will want alive."

There’s a spider-man movie I could show you that exemplifies how devastating that is.” He grins. “One touch from the Notblade and we control what Malan sees. We control what he sees, we control what he does. We control what he does, and we’ve completely and utterly defeated him.”
