There'd probably be some ash coming out of the slit in the front, then.

Tam sighed and left Love where he was in the cage, though . . . she did loosen the wires a little. He still couldn't move, and it would hurt if he did, but he wasn't going to constantly be in pain.

She turned towards where Rose was and noticed something drifting out of the slit in the container, so she walked over and tapped lightly on the metal.

"Rose? You awake?"

Wait-

She took a closer look at whatever was coming out of the slit. Her eyes went wide and she backed away quickly.

"Um, Bat?" she said, worried.

He moved from behind the tree to where she was, casting a nervous glance at the cage. "What is it?"

Just in case Rose wasn't fine, Tam walked over to the side of the container that Bat couldn't see, and made only a small section of it vanish.

Rose was fine. She was living, breathing, and looked rather peaceful. 

But her tattoos had gotten darker, and her veins, also darkened, stood out a little from her otherwise pale skin.

"She's alive," she told Bat.

There was . . . a lot of ash, though. And the metal shell was really thin . . .

She vanished the metal cocoon, but kept a small piece and put it in her pocket.

"I.... I don't know. I've never seen anything like that before...... don't touch her. It could be contagious." He fidgeted, torn. "I'd like to test that ash, but...... that's unnatural." 

Lady Bug appeared. "We have a very extensive lab in Entoturis!" 

Then she vanished again. 

Bat frowned. "Ento... what? Okay."

As he pushed the door open, he froze, sighed, and continued on with a sword unsheathed.

I actually never posted anything about Drin, but he’s actually pretty important in Pyk’s world. He comes after, in Wriulin’s empire, and is the protagonist of books 2-3.

He never becomes the Scribe canonically, tho.

The ground shook menacingly in the very regularly-sized room. It appeared to be some sort of dormitory, with several bunks and a large vanity, as well as a closet and dresser. On the other side of the room was an open window to absolute darkness. A chill in the wind came from it.

“You’re not divine. Your human. Obviously. You look human. So…. You are?” Atlas says slowly unsure of really how to comfort people. Still slightly overwhelmed by all that was happening.

i love how we just ignore the fact that the emperor is threatening Ashton rn and we just chillin. And i sorta put Asher back into pyks line out of where ever the trial was at. 

Also. Book?
