Yeah, I’d meant physically dropped. I think the ‘so to speak’ (which was for on-screen) made the sentence more confusing, not less.

Yeah, I don’t think anyone’s dropped it.

A piece of paper coalesces in Rebus’s hand, and a dropper is assembled in front of Bat. “Before we do anything to you, we should test the Nullite. I was lead to believe it was a mineral; your ink may have diluted or separated somehow. Let’s measure out some, and drop it in the center of the paper.” Rebus sets it down on a barely visible utility fog platform.

I’d imagine that would be problematic, though perhaps amusing.

Moni grimaced. "Not a traditional one." She said vaguely. "Amnesia? Sounds traumatic." She said a little too quickly, rubbing her left shoulder awkwardly.

Faunus raised that eyebrow at Moni, clearly unimpressed by her mysticism.

Moni pulls a sleeping bag for each member of the party from her pack, then lies down.

“Thank you.” Faunus said gratefully, setting her sleeping bag a bit outside the group, since her absence, she felt like she was intruding.

After a while of just laying in the sleeping bag, wide awake, she sat up, and looked around. Faunus nodded to herself, seeing they at least left someone on watch, and sighed as sleep refused her.

“Uh…” he eyed it warily, but got some Nullite into the dropper and did as he said.

The Nullite is definitely a lil diluted, but not enough for it to have a significant effect on the effects.

Rebus furrows his brow, watching the ink spread out. Then his eyes light up. “Have you ever swum in the ocean before? Get another drop - we can put salt water on it!”

It had no significant effect.

I . . . I guess so.

And this is all a plot, made for…. me? Malan, the hunters, were designed for me, by my Author? So… if they’re supposed to be my challenge, the antagonists to me, then… Tam, what if…. what if I’m the hero?  he asked, not daring to hope.

it gets different. It’s more abt Cricket realizing he might be a good person and lead a good life than him being intentional. That was just the start of his thought process.

Dropped as in physically dropped? Not that I can specifically remember. Dropped as in people know it exists? yeah, a few do. Perseus included. Moni doesn't go to any effort to keep it secret.

The Wise Judge stared at Selppaenip with utter confoundment. "Wizard," He said finally, turning his attention to the accused. "Are you certain you do not wish to request a different lawyer? This one does not seem... experienced."

The Great Wizard remained silent, and eventually the Wise Judge sighed. "Very well. Which charges do you plead guilty to?" ... stood, repeating what he'd said to Selppaenip. The Wise Judge nodded. "In that case, we shall focus our trial on those claims you have pled not guilty to. Prosecution, call your first witness."

The Adventurer's lawyer stood dramatically. "As my first witness, I call... Platypus!"
@Ookla the Arbiter

"He definitely existed." Subversion started writing in her book. "But I have no idea where he is right now, and can't find him without my Narration. Can't quite remember his lore either, aside from the dehydration problem."

"Um... sort of, yeah." The traveler opens her mouth to tell Nogard the truth about TLT so that she could see what he came up with, then freezes. Try as she might, she finds herself completely unable to force the words out. Huh. She put safeguards in? Smart. She covered her pause with a cough. "How've you been?"

Perseus, used to rough terrain, had fallen asleep in the rocks.

Also if they both have positive attitudes it might really help Tam, so like hey 😅

“Yes. The large plot is sputtering, but not quite dead. If it dies fully - or simply ends - I have a plan. One small plot is alive and well, two Authors going back and forth almost indefinitely. I’ve interacted with it tangentially, and fully plan to protect it. The others, though, are stagnant. I will raise new sub-plots to join and revitalize them. But the Thread - the old Thread - hadn’t just been plot. I think chaos has a chance to help it. You were there, correct?”

“I was there… once…” Ryss gets a far off look.

Rebus gets two more papers, then puts a similar amount of salt water on one. Then, he Narrates all four papers blue.

Rebus nods. “Was it more vibrant, then? Was there more Authors, more characters, plots and activity that didn’t stall?”

You might be. Your Author definitely seems like he plans for you . . . but we're all characters in our own stories, as well as others', and plot can change in a instant.

Er- what I'm trying to say is . . . be careful. Just because you think you're the hero now, doesn't mean victory is assured. Your own plot could just as easily have a bad ending as a good one.

The papers with Nullite only turned blue around the edges. A good inch or so that had no Nullite stayed white.

Rebus waves a hand, and utility fog cuts separate the three colors. He moves the white away, and Narrates it blue as another test. “Should we try skin next? Tam wondered what Nullite tattoos would do to a Narrator, although I’d be a horrible control.” He looks around for more people.

Don’t worry, I will be. What I’m saying is… well… I’ve always been scared that I’m the monster, that the hunters are right in stopping me, but… but… if I’m the hero, that changes everything.

A convenient person appeared. “Hi! I’m a good person to test Nullite tattoos on!”

He looked around suspiciously. He hated being watched. “If somebody is watching me, come out and talk. Don’t be a coward.”

Cricket ignore it. Probably some random Narrator spying on him.

I'm not saying you're a bad person- you're not, but you can't just assume that, Cricket.
