Sequence didn't respond for a moment, as she was pre-occupied with a particularly nasty fit of coughing. When it finally subsided, she proceeded to vomit onto the deck. Wiping her mouth with her sleeve and groaning, she sat back in her chair. "Perhaps..." More coughing. "Perhaps that would be a good idea..."

Unintelligible's concern grew. "Yeah. Um, I'd... better see if I can't find someone like that. Maybe the Dreamsmith? The Enullers?"

Quick question relating to Mordite @Ookla the Bacon @Ookla the nostealnamepls  @Anyone else who might have information on this subject

What exactly does an injury inflicted by a Mordite blade look like? I've always imagined it looks something like a regular injury, except the flesh turns black and sort of stagnant looking, and the skin around it loses some color, and the whole area just sort of looks frozen so to say.

That sounds about right.

"Um, hello?" The traveler isn't exactly sure where she is now after the time warping. "Who are you?"

"Fear not" The Emperor says. "You've been involved in a time warp and you should be fine. Do you happen to have teleportation? If not I can send you to where you need to be at the moment."

"Unless, of course, you know of the Dreamsmith?"

"I hear he is a powerful entity, and I'm fighting a war currently, I could use that help." He says ignoring your second question.

The Emperor stands regally, awaiting your answer. He wears pure white uniform with robes overtop, both of them trimmed with gold lace.

"I see." The traveler paused for a moment to attempt to make sense of the Emperor's words. "I doubt the Dreamsmith will be able to help you in your war. Unless you need a weapon. Are you a Narrator?"

Mmmhmmm

also, I keep on forgetting Pyk has flopping Mordite.

As if by some Authorical intervention, this stuff was reversed. Pyk entered his suit, and looked around. “What now?”

@Ookla the Bacon

I need a replllllyyyyyyyy

Tenth looked at the shard, then hesitantly took a nearby device - it was made of the Adari, and placed the shard inside, pressing a button. Sure enough, a yellow Strand burst from the Shard, just barely not reaching the end of the device. He showed it to Charles.

Asher shrugs, “i dont know i got lost a while ago, im just the sword, tell me what to do and I’ll do it.”

A note, invisible to The Emperor out of respect of an agreement, fluttered down to Subversion. Well, I, as a Narrator, kind of forgot to answer that question. If I remember correctly, it is why we care? Well, I do not know how much my advice would be helpful here, as some label me… morally ambiguous. But I do know that watching a plot play out, watching people become all they can and meet challenges, it is quite wonderful to me. And so, that is why I care.

The traveler nods nervously. "Why should anyone care about anything, given that we're all fictional characters and given the power that a Narrator possesses?"

Sequence nodded wearily. "Perhaps, perhaps... Could you help me, maybe? I haven't spoken with many Enullers, nor do I really know how I'd go about seeking the Dreamsmith for something other than a weapon." She shakily got to her feet, looking like she might fall over. Silent and mostly unmoving until now, the young woman sitting on the bench stood up to take Sequence's arm for support.

"But first," Sequence said. "... I think I'd like to rest for a moment."

The text of the note shifted. So that is the question? Ok… well… I care because I can still do things. I can create things. Sure, it may have been my Author, but I was the one who actually created it.

"I understand the fear of one who can shape the will of others, but do not be afraid. I am not one to act on a whim. I have been blessed with awareness by the Gods of Celestia. I will not hurt those who do not hurt me." He says.

"No one has the answer." Eof called over his shoulder. "If you wish to help, then you must make certain that the right person finds the answer."

Then he was gone, vanished from Bacon's sight.

Bacon very nearly said a bad word.

"A couple things, actually." Subversion glanced down at her checklist. "First of all, I'd like to ask about your TLT emigration policy in regards to ex-Narrators."

Ex-Narrators are treated the same as any normal character. Which is to say, very rarely allowed to leave.

So this is the contaminant within you.

Tenth nodded.  It seems to be canceled by the Adari, like in the Dreamscape. Only… if both are within me, then why aren’t they canceling out?
