I’ve been talking to three or four people, but not one of them has done anything.

Rebus, in his control room, waits for the description of the area before he activates it. He’d dropped it into the focus of this plot, so he didn’t know where or with whom it had appeared. It was for the other Author and the winds of the plot to decide. The Emperor Narrates the drone elsewhere.

And my Narrator master, this ‘Scribe’” he said this mockingly, “is very powerful. Just ask Bacon the Bard, hmmmm?” The Emperor stands there in front of you, his sword resting against the side of his leg. He shakes his head in disappointment. "Stubborn Twat." He says between his teeth, yet he still holds his regal appearance and even stands up straighter, forcing you to look up at him. "I don't wish to stain this room." He continues to shake his head softly and frowns, almost mournfully. Suddenly he grabs Sain's arm and instantly, the both of them are transported to a different place. You look around at what seems to be a cellar of sorts, a candle set on a table next to you. The dim lighting around you only allows you to see tankards and barrels of fine wine on shelves around you shaking slightly as the waves of newfound energy emanating from the Emperor pushes and pulls like waves in the ocean. It hurts. It throbs like a piercing headache all throughout your body. You finally realize that you are sitting in a wooden chair. The room is silent other than the waves of energy crashing against your body. It almost feels like a bloodlust, though it is a regretful bloodlust. The Emperor steps into the light. He doesn't speak. And without warning he grabs you by the hair and with his other hand punches you in the gut causing you to cough up blood. He stares at you with no emotion. "Don't bother trying to escaping. Those are dimensional shackles." He says nodding at your hands, which are bound with golden shackles. They give off a soft, blue glow. He punches again and you hear a sickening crack. "Let that be a lesson to you." He says grabbing your arm again and transporting both of you back to the conference room, and unshackling you. You realize that your bones feel fine again, but you still have phantom pain, an echo left to remind you. "Go back to your 'Scribe' Sain. And tell them to send someone who can hold their tongue." "I welcome a challenge for those who want to join me in allyship." He says. "And you. You are not welcome here." before you can react, he flicks your chest and you feel as though your body is turning inside out as you instantly warp to the same plane as the Scribe.

Good thing you didn’t kill me, or my zombie would have totally killed you! Can’t hold back my Strands if I’m dead!” He unsheathed the Notblade, and, if unblocked by Narration, the Notblade would have caused immense pain within him. Sain’s Strands buzzed around in agitation at being held back. “Now, can we be somewhat civil? Yes you are very powerful. So am I! Honestly, I kinda want Madness to get her powers back to teach you not to mess with the Scribe.” Sain stood there laughing for a bit. “Also, if you did manage to kill me, I believe the Scribe would just bring me back to life after you die.”
