Gaioh's getting some kind of surgery? Or something? @Ookla the nostealnamepls I think

Yeah, he's getting surgery. Having his soul stitched to his body a bit better.

When does the surgery end?

Well . . . thanks for trying anyway, Shoe said to Beosta.

She nodded. "Yeah. I'm... sorry. I'm not good with emotion."

Bat's eyes widened and he stood up. "Narration. Where did Gaioh go?"

It could be done by now, if someone were to go check on him.

"I think he went with the soul doctor." She smirked. "Lost your charge, huh? Wow, you're really good at this."

Bat kicked over his sandcastle and stalked into the forest.

Tam... I know you're mad at me, and to tell you the truth, I'm mad at myself too. If all goes well, hopefully I can either find a way to train with you guys, or at least accelerate it, so that I can get back to you in a couple of weeks. Stay safe,   and  don't do anything too stupid. If anything keeps me from getting back, I'll end them, Enuller or no. When I return, let's just say I owe you a favor and an apology. Cricket sent, rubbing his eyes. This was harder than he thought.

Beosta silently snickered at Bat's reaction.

"Thanks." She leaned on his shoulder. "I do kind of want to check on Gaioh, though. I... I need to talk to him."

It's not urgent. He's not going to die. He's not going to die.

@Ookla the Inconclusive

Tam appeared in the jungle about a mile from the beach, then made a cozy little hammock for herself to rest on.

She sighed when she got his message.

Thanks . . . but Cricket, don't kill anyone. Please.

And sorry about earlier- it's been kind of an emotional day for me.

She Narrated a more permanent link into place, so it would be easier to talk back and forth.

"I don't know. I just... I need to talk to him. I killed him, brought him back, and then traveled with him for a long time, and I know nothing about him! All I gave him as some kind of half apology. And that was it. I need to talk to him."

"What if he's not fine? What if he's not??"

Augh I wanna put in Bat's thoughts so bad AUGH

Bat stopped close to the beach and stared at the ground in front of him. His pulse was far higher than normal.

"Idiot," he whispered, then repeated it louder. "Idiot, idiot, idiot!"

Now his knuckles hurt from where he'd punched the tree. "Quisling," he swore. "Son of an ever-living quisling."

He sat against a tree and put his head in his hands.

ur welcome to ignore this if you want. I legit don't care if he interacts rn

Hmm. I guess that makes sense. And he will be fine; relax. He gave her a side hug and looked out at the ocean.

What if Gaioh died for good?

Then... she'd be back to square one, right?

Unless his soul did the golden sphere thing again.

Bat heaved himself to his feet and found a tree branch. Well, he broke it off a tree.

Tenth thought for a moment.  Well, the explanation I would jump to is that I don’t have enough of it inside of me. But with this other thing, these Strands, I think those may be counteracting the Adari, preventing me from using it.

And so it comes back to this invader, Charles mused. Which you know nothing of.

Dint talked silently with Pyk, and the two of them started sending more beams into the crowd of monsters.

So…. Do any of you know, like, if gravity is applied on something that time is slowed down on, since the gravity isn’t slowed down, would the effect of this gravity increase?

Since that question makes no sense within the rules of the normal universe, its exact answer depends on the rules of the fictional universe. Since TLT has no rules... well, guess you're out of luck. 🤷‍♂️

"Relationship advice? Don't be ridiculous." The traveler looks at the sand with a quizzical expression. Then understanding dawns, and she smacks her forehead. "Oh, right. I need to go to sleep." She lies down on the soft sand and closes her eyes. "No, I'm just going to talk to him... about... Nogard's... past." She yawns, drifting peacefully into sleep.

She awoke in a empty white room.

"Why are you here?" a voice said.

Bacon groaned. "I was really hoping I wouldn't have to go back to Onyx's castle..."

Reluctantly, he lay down and fell asleep besides the neo-Subversion.

Ivisyre searched Sequence's gaze. They took a long, shaky bow, and turned around, taking a few hobbling, limping steps away from the throne. Then, they vanished into black mist.

In a black mist, a hooded figure waited. Perhaps the one he waited for would appear. Perhaps they would not. @Ookla the Inarticulate

She shrugged. "Ask the woman who sold it to me."

---

Bat stared at the panther for a minute. It must have been the hopelessness of the situation or his current state of trying to decide between two evils, because even though he could have started screaming senselessly or curled up and cried, he laughed.

It started as almost an escaped snort, but quickly devolved into near hysterics. He had to lean against a tree to stay upright.

And then he was done laughing. He broke the branch in half and threw both halves at the panther as hard as he could. "You think you're so smart, don't you? You think those claws and that fur mean something. Huh? You think you're so special. Well, you're not. You're not. NOBODY CARES about you. Any one of those Narrators could snuff you out like a light."

He straightened and looked it in the eye. You know what? Do your worst. They probably expected me to die out here anyway. You'll be doing them a favor, really.

"Maybe me too."
