There didn't seem to be anything dangerous about this island. There some sort of jungle behind them, but he couldn't hear anything except the wind, waves, and some crickets. He put the phone in his pocket.

We could just stay here for a bit.

Mist lashed out from Omen, enveloping Cricket. He felt for a moment as if he was falling, and then everything went black.

Cricket was standing in a forest, his surroundings hidden by an unnaturally thick fog. There is no sound.

The adventurer frowned. "All it will bind you to do is speak truthfully and not cause a disruption to the court proceedings. Do you... want a different pen to sign it with?"

Ista also appeared in a closed-off room with a stack of paperwork.

"That was fast." remarked Perseus. "Would you do the honors?"

Cricket looked around, gaping, then took several steps into the fog. Might as well face the challenge head on.

Beosta fell asleep remarkably fast. The bright stars above left imprints in her mind.

She didn’t reply. She was dreaming about a department store, and was mildly annoyed because she couldn’t find the shoe section and people were mad at her for being barefoot.
