Tenth gave a weary look to the pieces. An idea… one that might be bad. He picked one up, his hand getting cut on the edge. He rushed the Citizen, attacking him with the Nullite piece.

No magic insubstantiation. It’s those weird scifi things where like they vibrate so fast or smt or like that.

The man is under the ground now, totally cocooned in vines. Nobody is allowed to follow him :P

But like…

But…

I kinda blasted through the ground in a blast of flame and light and a whole lotta weight…

And it Tenth don’t do this… he doesn’t get to plot progression himself. (The cut was important)

@xinoehp512

I would be fine with the attack not working.

Just, I need Tenth to get cut.

Glass (and perhaps you) knows why

And Shoe's with him still?

Correct.

The man dragged Shoe through the basement. How he was moving while entirely cocooned in vines, Shoe couldn't tell.

Eventually, the cocoon burst open, revealing a dimly lit room filled with cages. Several people were huddled within them. It seemed that the pale-skinned man had not entirely lied about the remainder of the survivors being gathered here.

The man pulled open one of the cages and threw Shoe inside. "Watch out," he warned the guards. "We may be getting rescuers. Do not allow anyone to interrupt the ritual."

With that, he strode to the center of the room, where a woman lay unconscious on the altar.

He can have attacked the two new people, then.

The woman flicked her sword to meet the Nullite fragment, slicing through it with some effort.

Exaaaaactly.

Except I didn’t think Tenth would be the one to be the Chaotic Ennuler.

Uh

I don't think a cut from nullite-reinforced metal is enough to turn someone into an Ennuller.

xino how did the guy Cricket was fighting respond to getting knifed in the back????

Cricket tried to Enul them to no avail. Heavens above, this is harder than it looks.  He gasped as his Enuller half spoke again, Getting tired. Can't fight much longer... sorry Cricket.  Cricket groaned. His Enuller half was weak after nineteen years of restfulness, of course. He'd have to fight them the portal way. He whipped out his last knife and portaled behind them, stabbing the man.

The man turned and swung at Cricket with his sword. He didn't seem to mind much the dagger sticking out of his back.

Cricket dodged, and pulled his backpack off, swinging at the man.

the backpack is also very heavy.

It’s abrasive, altered Nullite… and the part was already moving the “refined” metal around. Like, the Nullite was moving semi fluidly or smt, and it wasn’t very difficult to break a chunk off. It’s not like regular Nullite.

Pyk grit his teeth as he was in able to reach the lone sword bearer. He followed him, though, under the ground. And he saw the ritual begin, his eyes just barely out from the ground. He went over and stole a weapon, then unsubstantiated it. He pulled it below the ground before he could be noticed.

Oh no.

Pyk slowly reached his hand up, cutting the lock to the cage quietly. He retreated his hand, then approached under the ground a darker corner of the room. He placed a small, indistinguishable device in the corner of the room. His “vision” came from this camera, and the thermal vision gave him a good view of the scene. He approached the altar and stabbed his blade at the Citizen.

Before Pyk could follow the man who had kidnapped Shoe, he would have to get through the mass of withergeists filling the basement and surrounding the room on all sides.

The man muttered something in a language Shoe didn't recognize, all rasping hisses and guttural cries. Dark runes glowed to life around the altar. He raised his sword.

"Great One!" cried the man, withergeists swirling around him. "Dark Lord of the Fallen, hear our cries! Grace this world with thy presence once again!"

He brought the sword down sharply. The woman jerked once and went still.

Withergeists are also insubstantial.

This basement room is very heavily guarded. :P

Shoe closed his eyes when the sword came down. He shuddered and stepped away from the bars.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

Pyk decided to try a different approach. A more direct one. He sliced through the guards with his beam of light. He put a second setting on his blade- one that was too practical to pass up when creating this suit. He thrust his blade forwards, and the doors burst open.

Apparently it (my rescue) “didn’t work” or something. *pout*

Pyk was finding it very difficult to do these things while not being in the same room as the guards and the cages.

There was a loud tearing sound and a wash of cold...

...and then it was gone, and the man was saying something that sounded an awful lot like cursing.

He stalked over to one of the cages and pulled another person out. A young man, this time. He struggled as he was taken, but vines wrapped around him and immobilized him.

The man dragged him to the altar, ignoring the screams, and began the ritual over again.

Ahh. Well, the guards are in the room for the most part, and there isn't a door. It's guarded by there being lots and lots of withergeists that will eat anyone who tries to pass through.

I will up the defenses if I need to to keep you out. :P We've got to give Beosta a chance!

AAAAAAHHHHHH

WELL, you might not have to.

But… hmm…

Right now, Pyk’s goal is to capture a Withergeist and one of the three.

Ill be back.
