The adventurer would look around, moving in a slow circle as he tried to spot any differences that could indicate his enemy when he saw something strange. A small plant way off behind the buildings was growing tall at a fast rate. Suddenly everything around it started to grow as time itself sped up around them.

The adventurer falls over onto his hands and knees as the world begins to spin around him in fluctuating color and shapes. He closes his eyes and falls unconscious in the middle of a street unknown to him. His quest is momentarily halted until he regains his consciousness and sanity.

Meanwhile, Subversion's Megalomaniacal god-complex and Pride were extremely vexed. Together, they held all the ego of a rather arrogant Narrator, but less than a tenth of a Narrator's power to go with it. And if that wasn't enough, there were also an impressively large number of people that Subversion had angered at one time or another, and as it turned out, some of them really couldn't let go of a grudge.

And so it was that pride and Mg-c ended up tied to a pair of stakes, wrapped in chains made of their own essence and surrounded by a mob made up of basically everyone Subversion had ever wronged. the fact that no one in the mob appeared to have a weapon capable of killing them was a slight comfort, but it didn't look like the mob particularly cared about that tiny detail. At least Platypus hadn't showed up.

The brave adventurer sleeps peacefully, completely unaware of the second adventurer's existence and struggles.

Suddenly he wakes and sees the second adventurer unconscious in the middle of the street. Strangely the town had  seemed to age several years while he had slept.

The second adventurer lays unconscious in the middle of the street. He looks young and hardly of age to be wandering out on his own. He appears to be in need of medical assistance as he most likely passed out due to dehydration, but this still doesn’t explain the sudden burst of time in the scene around them.

The brave adventurer yawns, but decides not to go back to sleep. Instead, he heads out towards the second adventurer and nudges him.

The second adventure doesn’t seem to register that they are being talk to. Their eyes begin to close, slipping into unconsciousness. Then suddenly their eyes snap open, focusing, not on the first adventure but on something else.

“Crimson…” The second adventurer whispers quietly, his eyes darting every direction around them. “Streets…” He tries to stumble himself onto his feet but he falls back on his hands and knees coughing and on the edge of unconsciousness.

The Second Adventurer turns his head to the sky chugging nearly the whole bottle of water. He wipes his mouth with his arm and looks to the Brave Adventurer with more depth in his eyes. His temporary insanity leaks from him as the water takes its effect in refreshing him. “Thank you.” He mumbles, keeping his eyes darting on the world around him.

He carefully heaves himself off the ground, brushing his callous covered hands off. He is a shorter and younger man, probably in his teen years. “How has so much time passed, yet we didn’t age at all.” He says looking at the environment and back down at himself.

He rubs his eyes like he is seeing things before scrambling to follow the Brave Adventurer. He is significantly smaller and more child-like compared to the Brave Adventurer. “G-get used to it? You see things like this everyday out here?”

Posted

He also gives fake descending laugh. “Yeah okay- yeah! Okay-“ A squirrel would run past him and he would jump onto the Brave Adventures back. “YEAH- OKAY-“

Posted

The brave adventurer offers the squirrel a peanut. "Don't worry about it. We're probably both going to die here, so you won't have to see anything really strange."

Posted

The brave adventurer grins. "Probably! There was a scary evil guy that told me that I needed to be eliminated, so I figure we're both going to die unless you have some sort of incredible powers."

Posted

He blinks a couple times. “No. I don’t have any incredible powers I just-“ He screams a high pitched squeal and falls off the Brave Adventurers back when the squirrel tries to eat his foot. He kicks the squirrel away and hugs close to the Brave Adventurer. “Yeah- Okay- Yeah- can I stick with you?”
