"Okay. Well, how about we go find 655, then figure out exactly why he's connected to you. If that doesn't work, maybe we can look for other pieces of your soul?"

Yes. That... we can do.

"What even is 655? Wasn't he one of those bell things in the Gearverse?" Everyone asked.

Everyone had the sudden impulse to ask Sequence.

"Alright. Can you summon 655? Or tell me where he is?"

You could try... you have a pen, yes?

Rep smiled. "Not until you pay up. You owe me a new body."

"Right, right." Moni pulled out her pen and wrote.

Moni and the survey were transported to 655.

he nodded, he started concentrating hard.

Lard passed the time by telling Rep the story of how his brother Barath had died.

Finally, after 59 minutes, a burst of light emerged from Thaidakar, it swirled around, slowly turning into the shape of a humanoid. it started becoming clearer and clearer, the energy and light concentrated and a body appeared, it was a human male about twenty years old and in physical shape, though both his feet were missing.

Thaidakar looked at the missing feet, "that was unexpected, I swear I thought about the feet..."

"So yeah, after surviving all that, Barath got killed by a bear that was particularly gummy.  Nasty way to die. liquefied from the inside out, slowly, over the course of three hours." Lard glanced over at the body and shoved Rep awake. "Hey buddy, your body's done. Reminds me of the time a Narrator cursed Kelau to be unable to walk. Took three years before he managed to convince the guy to undo it." Rep glared at the body, not pleased. "You expect me to accept this?"

he shrugged, "sorry, I forgot the feet, I can probably fix it, just give me a sec." he narrated earwaxium feet attached to the stumps.

Rep was displeased. "I don't want no stupid shiny feet like that! Just give me a normal body, exactly like what I used to have!"

he raised an eyebrow, "no, I don't have to, all you said was 'give me a body' I am in no obligations to do it exactly like you wanted."

"Well take those feet off of it. I'd rather have no feet than have something so easily detectable as that."

"you can take off the feet if you want to. as for me, I am going to go tend to some business." he teleported away.

Rep glared after him. "Now I have to attach myself to this thing? Ridiculous."

Meanwhile, Nowhere and Impossible walked around the new lab. Scientists directed scions and servants in unpacking their stuff and setting things up. Nowhere watched with interest, Impossible followed behind, his glowing machete at the ready, in case of attack. Nowhere wore his roomy suit as always, his sleek almost white blond hair in a stylish trim. Impossible wore a tight fitted uniform that was made to enhance the look of his muscles, Nowhere thought it was ridiculous.

Nowhere sighed as he saw a group of workers squabbling, he walked over and asked, "what is the problem?"

One of them, a tall man in his mid thirties said, "it seems someone forgot to strap a crate to the lift! resulting in it falling to the ground, now the glass ornaments for the Christmas trees are ruined!" he glared at one of the other workers.

Nowhere rolled his eyes, "we can have them replaced easily, go talk to our suppliers in Manhattan."

the worker nodded and stalked off.

Nowhere shook his head as he walked over to Impossible, who had his arms behind his back as usual, "Impossible, we must finish setting this place up, we need business to boom soon."

Impossible nodded, "yes sir."

"it will help stabilize you and regenerate any missing parts." he opened a nearby crate with a mark on it that meant that equipment was in it, he pulled out a kit and some vials filled with various colored liquids. he started toying with them, "I should have a solution in a few minutes."
