DragonReborn he/him Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I read all the early releases and I reread the prologue last night. So when I got the book today I immediately started reading the first chapter. By chapter two all I wanted to do was skip to chapter 7, which I ended up doing. And I feel like this threw off the whole pace of the book. I am about to start my whole reread tonight, but those first few chapters are always going to feel a bit awkward from now on. I definitely regret reading them before the book was released. The problem is, when the third book is coming out I will probably read the early releases again because I have no self control when it comes to books. 2
lordofsoup Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I was not at all. I needed to finish the book as fast as possible so I could start my reread.
bartbug he/him Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Yeah, it definitely threw off the pacing. I'm on my reread now, only with everything, and it feels much smoother. 1
Aminar Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Not at all. It left me feeling free to get to the good stuff.
Colby Jack he/him Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) I like to live dangerously, drink daily, and read spoilers. I'm a total rebel! Edited March 5, 2014 by Colby Jack 1
Kurkistan he/him Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 It threw off the pacing a bit for me, I'll admit. I anticipate my re-read going smoother, though.
Asha'man Logain Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I regret nothing. I tend to want to skim a couple of the pre-released chapters. but hey I read them all anyway!!
