Blazenella
Prepare for a paragraph of info... The Unmade are broken down into 3 groups: mindless, sentient, and then Ba-Ado-Mishram. These go by the number of hyphens in the name Ba-Ado with 2, sentient like Re-Shephir with 1, and mindless like Moelach with none. The Unmade We Know Of: 1. Ba-Ado-Mishram: Known as a sort of general and leader for the voidbringers, and can apparently somehow fuel the Fused with voidlight like Odium. 2. Re-Shephir: Known as "The Midnight Mother" she is the Unmade Shallan chases away in Urithiru. She has the ability to create Midnight Essence, which are inky monsters that when hurt pour out black smoke, almost seeming to deflate them. They can change form, and usually imitate violence. For some reason she is afraid of Lightweavers 3. Sja-Anat: Sja-Anat is know as "The Taker of Secrets" and has the ability to corrupt spren. She can do this to "Lesser Spren", but possibly also larger spren as she corrupts the Oathgate spren, and possibly Glys. She also appears to be a traitor to Odium, trying to help Shallan. 4. Yelig-Nar: Know as the "Blightwind" this Unmade when ingested in a gemstone grants the person access to all 10 surges, as well as making their eyes red, growing crystals on them, and attempting to consume them. If a person doesn't have complete control over Yelig-Nar inside their body, it will devour them. 5. Dai-Gonarthis: Known as "The Black Fisher", we have almost no information about this Unmade. 6. Moelach: This is the Unmade responsible for the "Death Rattles" the momentary glimpse of the future sometimes granted to people whos souls are exiting their bodies. Mr.T uses these to correct The Diagram. His effect is region-wide and is not selective. At the moment it is residing in the Horneater Peaks. 7. Nergaoul: This is the Unmade responsible for the "Thrill". He invokes the passion to fight and kill, and when inhabiting a person turns their eyes red. It manifests as a red mist with images of battle inside of it. It's effect is region wide and not selective. 8. Chemoarish: Little is known of this Unmade, but she is known as the "Dustmother" and many believe her to be the Nightwatcher, but this is false. 9. Ashertmarn: Known as the "Heart of the Revel", he has a region wide unselective power. He encourages people to debauchery and excess, and manifests as a black heart with big pulsing veins the reach into the ground For more complete info, visit the coppermind on Unmade https://coppermind.net/wiki/Unmade

I thought it was still just a theory and/or coincidence with the names. Other than Dai-Gonarthis still being a "potential" Unmade rather than confirmed, that's the only thing that stuck out in your post.

I have a theory that you're right about the three groups, but that each group has three spren (with Ba-Ado-Mishram being the most intelligent in the top group). You have the three mindless spren: Ashertmarn, Nergaoul and Moelach. Then you have the sentient spren, like Re-shephir, aware but not on a completely sapient level. I think this group has Re-shephir, Chemoarish (just because) and Yelig-nar (he needs to bond with other voidbringers, and we haven't seen any really intelligent input from him in the book). Then we have the intelligent and sapient group. Sja-anat, Ba-Ado-Mishram, and I think Dai-gonarthis (Hessi's musings that he might be responsible for the destruction of Aimia somehow seems to imply more intelligence/indepence, though I might have him and Chemoarish and Yelig-nar wrong). Sja-anat is simply a clear level of awareness and intellegence higher than Re-shephir was. Ba-Ado-Mishram could still be the leader of the Unmade. 37 minutes ago, The One Who Connects said: Other than Dai-Gonarthis still being a "potential" Unmade rather than confirmed, that's the only thing that stuck out in your post. When Dalinar is getting drunk with Jezrien, he mentions several of the Unmade, and Dai-gonarthis is among them, which is why I think a lot of people have decided to include him. Well, I postulated the connection here, but this is rather recent - I have not seen any WoB's confirming or denying the link for now. Regarding Dai-Gonarthis, considering the quote by Jezrien in OB, he mentions a couple of Unmade by name, including Dai-Gonarthis. Also, we have the Death Rattle (here) which mentions that "The Black Fisher holds my sorrow and consumes it" - which is very reminiscent of what Odium offered to do for Dalinar. Regarding the Mythica, I think it is only realistic that Hessi was unable to find all answers given that most Unmade have multiple names and some have not, apparently, been seen for millennia or hundreds of years at the very least (e.g. the bit with the Dustmother being mixed with the Nightwatcher). Having more or less concrete information on seven of nine Unmade is already an incredibly impressive feat, imho. Another point that was raised is whether the Unmade are potentially made from multiple entities being fused together then corrupted or some such process. Magpro
I have a new theory which support sentience teory. I think there were 16 spen originally which were combined to make the Unmade. This matches with number 16 of Adolnasium Ba Ado Mishram 3 Re Shephir 2 Sja Anat 2 Yelig Nar 2 Dai Gonarthis 2 Moelach 1 Nergaoul 1 *Che Moarish 2 Ashertmarn 1 Sum 16 *Chemoarish is the exception, she has no hyphen, but is sentient, I think chemoarish should have hyphen. These 16 spren held most of odium's investigure, and when Odium came to Roshar, and claimed them, he combined them to give them more power and sentience. RShara
They can't hold most of Odium's investiture. Odium was strong and skilled enough to kill at least 3 Shards before getting trapped on Roshar--Ambition, Devotion, and Dominion. And he clearly still has most of his power now. The Unmade have to have been created after he got stuck in the Rosharan system, and I really don't think they contain most of his power. A decent chunk, yes, but not most. I think you misunderstood me, I didn't mean they held most of Odium's investiture, but their investiture is mainly made up of Odium's. I think the 16 were unmade into 9 after he got stuck on Roshar, but the original 16 existed before.
